*Berlin/ACM/.

20 Years after Berlin's wall fall, will at last Europe become able to wisely choose the right leaders, and succeed to stimulate enough Popular support to realize its huge potential ?  The question was hanting the 1st EU Heads of State/Government Summit, since the ratification of Lisbon Treaty, while Bundestag and EU Parliament's Presidents Lammert and Buzek dedicated Bethoven's "Heroic" symphony  to EU Citizens' struggle  for Democracy and Human Rights.

Germany's reunification, which brought Europe's reUnification in Peace, opening an Historic chance after not only Cold War but almost 2 Centuries of Division, Conflicts and destructions which had weakened Europe, depriving it of its past role in the World, from the period of Bethoven, Napoleon and Victor Hugo, up to the aftermath of the 2nd World War, can only develop its huge potential if it choses the right leaders, but most of all if the People and Democratic, Human Rights' ideals, thanks to whom Berlin's Wall fell down, stimulate a strong popular movement eager to advance further :

This appears to be the stance strongly supported tonight by the Presidents of Parliament in Germany and in the EU, Norbert Lammert and Jerzy Buzek, who welcomed Chancellor Angie Merkel and many other politicians, diplomats, MPs, etc, hosting an emotional opening event before tomorrow's official celebrations of the Anniversary of Berlin Wall's fall, and Heads of State and Government gathering here, including Russian President Medvedev and USA's State Secretary Hilary Clinton.

- "Bethoven had notoriously thought to dedicate its 3rd Symphony to (French revolutionary Napoleon. But if he decided today, he'd certaily use that to honor Human Rights defenders", stressed Dr Norbert Lammer, who created an emotion by anouncing that the Mother of the last man to be shot and killed on February 1989; for trying to cross the Wall which extended for 43 kms in the middle of the city, was among the invitees.

- "Today, we must go further", added Jerzy Buzek. For Europe to speak with one voice on Human Rights and Democracy, including on our Neighbours, we can count on the passion of our Citizens', he concluded, after taking the time even to salute "EuroFora".

The two democratic Parliamentary leaders had met earlier in Berlin, where Lammerts stressed that "we have to look also upon other remaining walls", and showed Buzek from a window of the Bundestag the lights of an office where Mekel was scheduled to work.

Merkel, ominipresent at various events after her brillant win on both the National and European Elections on 2009, visited the Bundestag's reception where she attended a Concert, before taking the 1st place on tomorrow's Heads of State/Government gathering and several other Popular events for the "Freedom Feast" throughout Berlin.

Despite that, Merkel took enough Time to kindly salute and speak with many among the participants at German Bundestag's event, but, when she suddenly arrived close to "EuroFora", our overloaded Photographic machine, full of pictures but without time to select and erase at least some of the old ones (particularly after a strange aggression last night in Strasbourg), astonishingly blocked, as if by ..emotion, so that we were desperatly trying to set it back in motion, when Merkel walked along with a bright smile that Memory kept better than any photo...

    Meanwhile, speculations were going high on EU Head of State and Government'(s intention to discuss here names about the possible candidates for the new top jobs of EU's President and Foreign Minister ;

 - "Even if there is no (formal) decision to take now, they wil certainly speak about that", particularly during the Monday night's diner, said to EuroFora Chancellor Merkel's Spokesman, Wilhelm Ulrich.

Outside of the Bundestag, a flow of Light and colors, surounded by curious people, transfigures a former tragedy into a popular Artistic event, : The "Dominos", a series of cubes each one with another imaginative painting, will fall tomorrow, on the annibersary of the real Berlin's wall fall, during a spectacle triggered by European politicians faster than the time it took to built ut.

But even that "wall" can really frustrate ypu, if you have to run to meet other people, and it suddenly hinders your freedom of movement, surrounded by metalic barricades without visible end..

"EuroFora"  had that experience, running desperately to find a way to cross the barricades while time was running out for an urgent important rendez vous.. But, instead of gun shots, this time it was a smiling young lady who had the good will to lift the barricades and let us free to pass through.. When "EuroFora" turned to "thank" her with a Photo, it was too late : She modestly disappeaed among the croud..

The traces of the Wall are still everywherre in Berlin : Even at the doorstep of "EuroFora"s pension  - "It was a No man's land here", reminds our landlord, "with soldiers patroling in the middle of what is now a busy avenue.

Not even in Rome or on Athens tourists don't find something so noteworthy to take photo just when they get out of the underground metro.. But in Berlin, "the wall" was present even in everyday life, dividing a city whose reunification gave a rare chance to change the former military outposts often into environment friendy green spaces even downtown.

It's at a splendid Natural landscape, inside a Forest plateau with superbe view over Paris, at Saint Cloud, that the incoming French EU Presidency had the good idea to join together all EU Member Countries' Ministers of Environment and Energy, in two overlaping EU Councils in a series, from 3 to 5 July 2008.

Fresh rain happily dissipated July's heatwave, before a bright Sun shined at the conclusion of the EU gathering around a huge statue of Earth (See Photo).

French super-Minister of State for Energy, Transport and Environment, Jean-Louis Borloo, and Minister for Environment, Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet chaired the first EU Ministerial meeting at Paris' area, together with EU Commissioners Demas and Pielbags, surprising Journalists with improvised Press-points, at key-moments of the discussions.

Environment and Energy are key to the development of New Technologies to boost Europe's role in the World, while also responding to Citizens' concerns, stressed Borloo, speaking to Journalists earlier in Strasbourg.

According to well-infomed sources from the French EU Presidency, the aim is to stimulate a growing trend inside EU Parliament, via various on-going Reports developping in parallel, towards achieving the necessary targets before December.

For this purpose, Top-level representatives from Borloo's super-Ministry are expected to come in Strasbourg during EU Parliament's plenary, next Wednesday, a key official told "EuroFora".

2009 EU Elections were won by Parties against Technocracy and Turkey's controversial EU bid, while the 1999-2004 Majority Abstention trend decelerated. What should be done in 2009-2014 ?
