Some revive Black Humor in the CoE: "USSR" versus Russia ? + Whose 70th Anniversary ?

*Strasbourg/CoE/Angelo Marcopolo/- While Hopes for things to Go somewhat Better after this 70th Anniversary of CoE's PanEuropean, 850 Millions People and 47 Member States - strong Organisation of Strasbourg, the Most Ancient in Europe (1949-2019), were Recently ReVived, Despite remaining and even Growing Problems and New Challenges Nowadays, on Human Rights, Democracy and Rule of Law,

Nevertheless, here or there, at least a Part of Various Critics, in certain cases Justified and even Useful,  Sometimes go Beyond Limits in a rather Excessive Pessimism, to the point that, perhaps, "Black Humor" could provide Help...

- Thus, f.ex., Earlier this Week, while French President Macron was visiting CoE's Parliamentary Assembly's Autumn 2019 Plenary Session, we saw a Press Conference by Representatives from 5 Countries, (Ukraine, Georgia, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia), suddenly Brandish a Threat to "Boycott" the (already Controversial, for Practical Organisational Issues : Comp. ..., etc) Festivities and Official Ceremony, organised at Strasbourg's Opera, for the CoE's 70th Anniversary, (in Addition to Ukranian MEP's Boycott of All this Weekly CoE Assembly's Session, as confirmed earlier).

Their Aim, obviously was to Publicise their Disagreement to Russian MEP's Return Back into CoE's Parliamentary Assembly, after 5 Years of UnPrecedented, Sterile and Excessive Divisions, which had Nothing Achieved, but Only to Risk to put Strasbourg's PanEuropean Organisation into tatters...

By doing so, 5 out of the Former "USSR" Member States, (while pro-Russian Armenia and Aghanistan are still embroiled in their Opposition,  Kazakstan up to Kirgistan a.o. appearing more or less Neutral in such matters), they Paradoxically Appeared as if a kind of Reconstituted "USSR" might be, Now, pointing fingers against Russia !

But, in their "USSR versus Russia" attempt, they inevitabl Forgot, inter alia, even ... "Beatles" World Famous Song of the good old Sixties (1968) : - "Back in USSR"...

Indeed :  "KIEV's Girls really Knock me out, and MOSCOW Girls make me Sing and shout. GEORGIA's are Always on my Mind", Beatles said, back on 1968, (at the 1st Song in their Famous "Whiten Album"), naively but simply Uniting Together, each one with its own identity, what Foreign Interferences, Division and Bloodshed vowed to Separate on 2014.

So that, Today, CoE's Top Political Body of its "Joint Committee", Bringing Together the Leaderships of its Ministers, MEPs, Secretary General, etc., was reportedly busy into looking also how to Prepare a foreseeable Future, less bumpy inside, efficiently closer to its principles, but also with more Unity, from January 2020 onwards.

Such a Legitimate and even Necessary Ambition, in order to Succeed in Real Practice, however, it also Needs to be more Careful on how to treat persons, Countries and Issues, as well as a much more Efficient "Com" Policy, particularly vis a vis Nowadays' Medias, as it's too often Discussed in Strasbourg during more than 30 Years now, and was even Reminded by some Political Groups' Leaders Earlier this Afternoon.

However, this was done mainly during an Interesting, But obviously Too Short : ... 30 Minutes Only (sic !) Public Debate inside CoE's Building, at its Parliamentary Assembly, the Only one to be Open to the Public, withOut need of Shady, Bureaucratic "Invitations", (sometimes arbitrarily given here, but "forgotten" there), as Last Tuesday's UnPrecedented and Controversial Event at Strasbourg City's far Away "Opera", (Comp.: ..., etc).

But, Meanwhile, some Harm had been already Provoked in real practice, which Should Better be Avoided in Future :

- So, Many Joked about the Fact that in most People's Minds, following the Establishment's mainstream Medias, the only "70th Anniversary" of which they had become Aware, Nowadays, (and particularly on that October 1st's events),

=> was, Not that of CoE's, but that of ...China's "Socialist/Communist" Republic's Foundation, also back on 1949, indeed, Proudly and Loudly Celebrated at Beijing, with Spectacular Public Events, Open to the People and the whole World !

To the point that among the various "Bad Jokes" reportedly Circulating in Strasbourg's diplomatic corridors was also one concerning EU Commission President Juncker's unexpected failure to participate in that controversial "Opera" outdoors but exceptionaly "closed" event for COE's own 70 Anniversary :

- Indeed, some Claim, Juncker perhaps, had just Asked his Staff to urgently get him "an Airplane Ticket for the 70th Anniversary" asap.

>>> But, when he rapidly got into his Car to Rush at the Airport, while he was Entering into the Airplane, at the Last Minute, thanks God, he Suddenly Realized the Facts, and Immediately went Back, Running as Fast as he could, Before the Doors Closed Behind him :

=> That Plane was Heading Not to Strasbourg, But towards Beijing !...
