EU Commissioner Hahn to EuroFora: EU - EurAsia Trade Areas = a Political Idea

*Brussels/EPP Summit/Angelo Marcopolo/- The exploration of EU - EurAsian eventual prospects are, Today, "a Political Idea", stressed the competent EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhoud policy, Johanes Hahn from Austria, in reply to a relevant "EuroFora" Question.

    Significantly, Hahn said that after the conclusion of the ChristianDemocrat/EPP Summit of Heads of State/Government and Political Leaders, organized by EPP President, Joseph Daul, earlier Today in Brussels, just before the Beginning of a Multifacet, Crucial EU Summit, later Tonight, and Tomorrow, extending from the Debt provoked by some in Greece in the Past, up to €uroArea's Stronger Regulation, efforts to relaunch EU Economy, EU Common Security and Defence policy, etc., as well as some topical developments on EU - Russia issues and other Foreign affairs matters.

    In such a Context, the prolonged  presence of Armenian President Sargyusian, could not remain unnoticed, here Today, since he had strongly supported  personaly the Idea that, contrary to some Rumours and/or strange "Gray Areas", in fact, normaly, there should Not be any insurmontable Incompatibility between the EU's and EurAsian Union's Trade Areas, already, as early as since October 2013, when he had chaired the PanEuropean CoE in Strasboug, (Comp : .......).

    Meanwhile, German Chancelor Angie Merkel had initialy anounced her intention to clear out this controversy, by examining seriously the really existing prospects for an eventual Compatibility of EU and EurAsian areas, already at the December 2013 EU Summit in Brussels, (See relevant "EuroFora"'s NewsReport, published then from the spot ; ......), but, an Unprecedented, dangerous Fall at an International Holiday ressort in Switzerland, shortly afterwards, notoriously provoked a serious Wound at her Leg, obliging her even to exceptionaly Stop or Delay Working at the beginning of January 2014, until she recuperated, later-on.

    Afterwards,  - and given also that, in the meantime, the so-called "Ukranian" Conflict erupted, particulary intense from February 2014 up to March 2015, etc. Merkel had both Confirmed her intention to do so, but also Added a Condition of Conformity to International Law, (as mainstream, Experienced MEP and long-time President of EU Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, Elmar Brok, had already said to "EuroFora", just after an exceptional meeting in Strasbourg with his Russian counterpart, President of Duma's Foreign and International affairs Committee, Alexei Pushkov : See "EuroFora"s relevant NewsReport, at :....).

    But, at the same time, Merkel promoted the Idea, endorsed by EU Summits, that, before the End of 2015, EU Commission should have Explored and Investigated any controversy about EU - EurAsian Trade Areas prospects, and Report back to EU Council of Heads of State/Government, pending, until then, the planned full Extension of the EU - Ukraine recent Agreements affecting also that field.

    Thus, Today, EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn, replying to another relevant "EuroFora" Question, clearly indicated that he was well Aware of the role that could play, and the Impact that it could produce such an issue, in real practice,  vis a vis Ukraine's present and foreseable Future.

    + Morever, Hahn did NOT Deny, no more, the existence of  practical Possibilities to find a way to make those Areas Compatible, (so that Europe might end up, in the Foreseable Future, with a Big Pan-European Trade Area, from Portugal up to Vladivostok", as it has been named).

    - Instead, the experienced EU Commissioner went on ask "EuroFora" what we exactly meant in our relevant  Question, and after Carefuly  Listening to our presentation, he stresseed , that "this is a Political Idea", as  he POIZE, (comp. Supra).

    ++ At any case, moreover, Hahn, reacting also to another "EuroFora's Question on that matter, did not exclude, no more, that EU Commission might be currently Preparing a complete and serious Analysis of all the real possibilities in this direction, (which might, obviously, Boost both Peace and Growth in Europe, if adequately dealt with :

   - Appearing, suddenly, Throughtfull, EU Commissioner Hahn final reacted, curiously, by Saluting us with a Long, Enigmatic, but personaly Friendly Smile....
