EU-Fair 2021 goes Green + eyes Hybrid Transition, says to Eurofora Strasbourg-Events' CEO Drici

*Strasbourg/Angelo Marcopolo/- Replying Today to "Eurofora" Questions at the Press Conference on the 2021 Euro-Fair, (3-13 September 2021), which Traditionaly marks the Start of a New Economic and Political Season at the Franco-German Core of Europe, "Strasbourg-Events"' new Board President, Salem Drici, stressed the Growing Importance of both a "Green" and Digital Transitions on the making.
--------------------------------------
"Eurofora", pointing at the splendid "Green" area, adjacent to the ReNovated and Extended Strasbourg's "Palace of Music and Congress" (PMC), where, for the 1st Time, the "Euro-Fair"s 2021 installations had just Started to be set up nowadays, (See relevant Photo), asked whether such an ostensibly "Green" atmosphere would be Developed also throughout the current "Transition" towards the 2022 opening of the "PEX" (for "Excibitions" Parc") New Mega-Building (designed by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma), given Also the notorious Healthy effects of Natural Oxygen open spaces, including in Facing the Virus' Pandemic...
+ In addition, we raised also a question on the potential importance of "Digital" aspects in Strasbourg's EuroFair (Comp., already : ..., etc) and Other such Mega-Events, both Nowadays and in the foreseable Future.
-------------------------------------------------
- "Concerning your ("Eurofora"'s) Question on the "Transition" (2021-2022), indeed, we curently are in a Trend towards Increasing "Hybrid" events, with Both Presential and a Remote Parts, during the Coming Years. And, in "Strasbourg-Events", we Already have the Capacity to produce such Hybrid Events, and wish to Develop that", President Drici stressed.
- "But, there will Always be a substantial part of Presential, because it's Important to Help People actualy and physicaly Meet eachother, as "Man is a Social Animal", and that's a Key element in our idea about the Human Relations", he also pointed out.
+ "On the Ecological Transition, we are very sensitive, and, indeed, wish to have several Eco-Responsible Modifications", he went on to Reply to our 2nd Question (Comp. Supra). "Therefore, we will be very keen into Including that ("Green") Dimension in All Events that we shall propose during the Next Years", Drici vowed. "Together with the Carbon-trace of all our activities", he added.
------------------------------------
++ Similarly, Marie Lathoud, Director of Events' Organisation at the same entity, Replied to "Eurofora" that : - "Concerning the Natural Green Enironment issues and Transition, we are very sensitive, indeed. The New PEX (due to open on 2022) will have a special "Square", helpful for that purpose. It's also Strasbourg's "EuroMetropole" (with its New Chairwoman, Pia Imbs) which is sensitive on such matters", she observed.
- "On your ("Eurofora"'s) Question about the "Digital" Transition, this year (2021) we wanted mainly to help People meet eachother, physically", Lathoud explained. "But we have the capacity to produce Digital and "Hybrid" Events, and we shall use it in the forseable future. In the meantime, "Orange" (Mega-Phone-Company), which will be present this year, is due to make some interesting proposals", she announced. "Moreover, recently, we observed an impressive augmentation of Social Medias' discussions on the forthcoming Euro-Fair, bigger than ever"...
------------------------------------
With more than 300 entities presenting their activities and products, (not only from France, but also from Germany, Italy, and Other Countries, even China, etc), this Euro-Fair 2021 extends throughout some 30.000 m2, Outdoor areas included, adding PMC's Mega-Halls of 12.500 and 4.800 m2, will be Inaugurated on September 3, by Strasbourg's new, atypical "Green" Mayor, Jeanne Barseghian, (Comp. Barseghian's Replies to "Eurofora"s topical Questions at last year's 2020 Inauguration in : ..., etc), and a Political personality whose Identity will be officialy disclosed asap, as Lathoud told us.
-------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, President Macron's centrist pick for the 2020 Municipal Elections, former Socialist Deputy-Mayor Fontanel, didn't manage to win that bid, comming 2nd together with Center-Right's Republican young candidate Vetter, (See both's statements to "Eurofora", at : ... + ..., etc), but his Wife became the New French Ambassador/Permanent Representative to the CoE, (See, f.ex.: ..., etc), while, Nowadays, after important Post-Merkel German Parliamentary Elections nearby, later this year (2021), France notoriously prepares to enter a Crucial Period of forthcoming Presidential and Legislative Elections in the First Half of 2022, during which it would take over the rotating Presidency of the EU.
The 88e Euro-Fair, Last Year, 2020, was the 1st in France to Dare Open Despite the Virus' Pandemic, while EU Parliament had Exceptionaly Suspended its Monthly Plenaries in Strasbourg. Euro-MEPs have now re-Started their Return back here recently, But it's still UnCertain what Impact might have on this 2021 Euro-Fair the Controversial "Sanitary Pass" just Imposed on most Collective Events... Drici claimed, earlier, that this would be a "Good Chance" for the Euro-Fair Organizers, mainly because it might ensure an Easy Identification of officialy certified Healthy People, (even if, in fact, this is not sure at all, given the currently growing Infections of and/or by so-called "Vaccinated" individuals using some new but few, controversial "novel tools" Authorized until now by the EU as "Vaccines", while still Excluding many others, and particularly "Classic" Vaccines based on Pasteur's main principles : See: .... + ..., etc). But, since All Not yet Vaccinated People would be "Pushed Back" from that EU-Fair 2021, as he added, (unless they have just passed a controlled "Test", with negative results, during the Last 3 Days), Obviously, it remains to be seen what might, eventualy, happen on the traditional Popularity of this Mega-Event...

- "Europe must be liberated from this undermining "wooden talk" of a "unique thought" which hampers democratic debates", stressed incoming EU Chairman, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, speaking to Journalists after his official meeting with EU Commission's President, Jose Barroso, at Elysee Palace in Paris
- "It's precisely because there are not enough Debates, that EU hasn't managed yet to make it clear to European citizens what is really at stake", he added, in an obvious reference to the latest Irish "No" in 2008, after a long series of similar, unprecedented events, from the 1st Majority Abstention to EU Parliament's Elections in 1999, repeated in 2004, to the Dutch and French "No" in 2005, etc.

- "This is not an easy period, but we shall act with determination, while also listening to Citizens' views", he promised.
Sarkozy's move came shortly before his opening Speech, next week in EU Parliament in Strasbourg, for the first Public Debate on the Priorities of the French EU Presidency (July - December 2008), and that's one of the reasons for which he significantly opened his EU Council's Chairmanship by welcoming at Elysee palace EU Parliament's President, German MEP Hans Gert Poettering at first..
The incoming EU Chairman was replying to Press Questions about rumours that controversial British EU Commissioner on Trade, Mandelson, was alone to drop an invitation to have a working Diner at Elysee palace, together with all other EU Commissioners and the French Government, only because he would have been upset for some critical points made earlier by President Sarkozy in defense of European Agriculture vis-a-vis its Foreign competitors.
But, as smiling Sarkozy played down Mandelson's reported refusal to debate, saying that he had to visit Marseille for a Ministerial meeting on Trade the next morning, and that "all our British friends are always welcome to taste a nice diner" in France, perhaps at another occasion..
- "It's urgent to win anew the trust of the People" : Lately, "the European ideal lost its momentum. Since several years, whenever Citizens are questioned on Europe, they react with reserves : They even have .. a tendency to reply "NO".. After this 3rd "No" of a People in some years, there is an Urgency to convince", added French Prime Minister Francois Fillon, after a meeting earlier the same day of all Ministers with EU Commissioners, followed by an interview with Barroso
"According to recent Polls, only 30% of French people believe that the European construction is a source of hope. It's only a poll, but we all now quite well, that, since 2005, it's dangerous to neglect these alarming signals, as it would be dangerous to treat with contempt the Irish "No", Fillon warned.
"We all have a common duty to prove to the European Citizens who have doubts, that EU is more useful, more necessary, than ever" : And "that EU can take decisions needed in order to respond to European or Global challenges", the Prime Minister concluded.
- "We believe, together with President Sarkozy, that EU should open debates on all issues of direct, concrete interest to Citizens", confirmed later to EuroFora the Head of France's governing party (UMP), Patrick Devedjan, after his speech to the European People's party (EPP) Study Days in Paris (2 - 4 July 2008).
He didn't deny that one of them is Turkey : - "Public Opinion in France is very much unfavorable to Turkey's EU bid, and President Sarkozy has said that several times", he told EuroFora.
From European Central Bank's controversial policies on Euro's value, to EU Enlargement Strategy, etc., issues of obvious importance to EU Citizens will be plenty, next week in EU Parliament in Strasbourg, before President Sarkozy launches the debates on EU 2008 French chairmanship's priorities on Thursday.
