Hungarian Prime Minister Orban to EuroFora on Popular Values Movement+EU Identity in 2014 EUElection

 
*Strasbourg/EU Parliament/Angelo Marcopolo/- Making a surprisingly strong plaidoyerie for Real European Values, the embattled but popular Prime Minister of Hungary, Victor Orban, replying to "EuroFora"s question, launched a call for the Popular "Values" Movement, currently spreading in France, Italy and other EU Countries, as well as elsewhere in the World, to inspire seriously pro-European Politicians, who hold similar views f.ex. on the need to protect Natural Family, Europe's Christian roots and Human Embryo, etc., as well as to prove, in real practice, that Euroean Countries' Economy can succesfully get out of the Global Crisis, as Hungary has already started to do, (See Infra) in order to prevent the Risk to provoke Anti-European feelings among several EU Citizens, but, on the contrary, Boost People's Hopes for the foreseeable Future of a potentially succesful Europe, with a strong Political Identity : Issues which have to be jointly Debated in several "hot" "Fights", particularly in view of  the forthcoming EU 2014 Elections, as he agreed with "EuroFora"...

=> In substance, Prime Minister Victor Orban, who has already succeeded to win a landmark 2/3 Majority in Elections in Hungary, widely recognised as Democratic, replying to "EuroFora"s 1st out of 2 Questions,

launched a vibrant Appeal to "all those who represent these Ideals" throughout Europe and well beyond, to "Stand Up" and say :  - "These are Values (that) we would like to maintain .. !" Because, "Values' questions, are Essential part of our (real European) "Political Identity". ... "We don't just Say so it, but we also Do so, and we even Like to Stand for it, and we like to Fight for it !", he strongly declared. - "We encourage the European Politicians, who even don't belong to the Mainstream, to look for each other, to Cooperate, and to Express Together our opinion", he proposed.  - "Not against somebody else, but to make it ... Listenable, Hearable and Visible, that we are here, and we have Values !"

In particular : 

At the main, among our 2 Questions to the Prime Minister of Hungary, "EuroFora", observed from the outset that Victor Orban had "spoke(n) also about Hungary's importance for all Europe, as also in the Past, accross Centuries and/or Millenaries, even Today and in the forseeable Future".

-> - "I cannot hinder myself to say, very Honestly, that what You have just said (here i.e. at this Press Conference), and what we have heard at the Plenary, looks like a Precocious but very Interesting Debate about the Forthcoming EU 2014 Elections !", we observed.

 - "Because there are currently many People, f.ex. in France and elsewhere, who are Fighting now for the Values that you have put in your Constitution, and have even been partly endorsed by (CoE's) Venice Commission, at least at its 1st point, (the Definition of Mariage and Family as one between a Man and a Woman, i.e. the Protection of the Natural Family, and, therefore, also of the Natural - and not Artificial/Mechanic Procreation of Human beings, etc).

=> "Do you think that this is an Interesting Opportunity, and at the same time a Moral, Historic and Political Obligation for you, to raise, together with others among your Friends, these Issues during the (EU) Elections that are coming in 2014 ?", "EuroFora" asked Prime Minister Victor Orban.  

 - "Because the "Encouragements" (See Infra) that Hungary expected to get from real pro-Europeans, as you said, (as well as any other Country which might succeed to have some Positive Economic Results amidst the Global Crisis) might better be given by the European Citizens !", we concluded.

The Hungarian Prime Ministers' long Reply was Careful at the beginning, but progressively becoming more and more Energetic, particularly as real European Values and 2014 EU Elections could be concerned ;

 - Now, "on the Values' issue, (i.e. "EuroFora"s 1st Question : Comp. Supra), Inside of our own (Fidesz) Parti, even in Hungary, we have some Discussions, on whether it's a reasonable behavior on behalf of the Prime Minister and of the Governing Party in Hungary, to present Issues which are Values-Motivated, and, obviously, do not belong to the Mainstream of EU Politics, as it is now, to answer your question.

It's obvious that the European Publicity is Dominated - can't say Ruled, but Dominated-  by those Journalists and Visions, and Media, which are more guided by Mainstream Bureaucracy, or whatever,  first", he warned. And, you know, to stand for (Natural) Family, Christianity, and Nation, is not a Popular thing in most (established, old fashioned, Oligo-Monopolistic) European Press now", he criticized.

Natural FAMILY : A 4 Thousand Years Tradition, that we defend also for the Future.

- But, you know, Values have a (are about) particularity : Just Today, here (at EU Parliament's Plenary debate on Hungary)  there was a Question about Family : I made it very Clear that in Hungary, we have nothing against the Homosexuals. We (even) have a special Regulation which tries to Help them on how manage their Life. But, at the same time, we can't confuse what wa call Family and Mariage, with that (f.ex. a kind of Civil Union, etc) : That's a clear-cut separation which must be made, and maintained theConstitution", Victor Orban stressed.

- Sometimes, some claim that it's "not Modern", or whatever, "not Progresive", etc. But, I want to make it very clear, that we Defend a 4 Thousand Years old Tradition : 2000 years of the Jewish Tradition and 2000 years of a Christian t

So, that's quite Logical for us, that we  have to represent the Traditional Marriage, regardless of what we suffer at the International Mainstream Liberal, whateever, "progressive" Media"...

+  Because, Natural "Family" (i.e. as a union of Man and Woman, in view of Natural Procreation of Children and their Education), "is part of the very Deep Constitutional Identity of the Nations belonging to the European Union", as Victor Orban stressed earlier.

EU's Christian roots :

+ Probably, an important question is Christianity : I don't know what will be the Future of Christianity, in the World and in Europe  : Who knows that ? I surely not. I have some Hopes, that's all. And I've read a lot of arguments (claiming) that Christianity is "dying"F, due to be "replaced", getting less and less support. May be. I don't know"....

- "But, one point is for sure :  It's not the job of EU Politcians to "Kill" Christianity ! That's sure", he denounced ad absurdum, immediately after that, adding that this is part of Europe's Identity, and that "we (Europeans) should Fight" to defend its main values, (Comp. Supra).

+ Some think that, "in the European Life", "the Values of Religious beliefs ...do belong to the Past, while the Future should be different. We (Hungarians) don't think so : (On the contrary) we think that this kind of approach to the Life and the Institutions that embody that, belong to the Future as well", he stressed earlier.

=> - "So, therefore, for all those who represent these Ideals, why can't we Stand Up and say :  - "It's a Value ! Comme on. We would like to maintain it !"

=> "So, that kind of approach" : (I.e.) Values' questions, are Essential part of our "Political Identity", Victor Orban stressed.

 - "That's the reason why we don't just say so it, but even we do so, and we like to Stand for it, and we like to Fight for it ! Because if you (real Europeans) don't Fight for that, who else would do so ?"

=> "So that's why we encourage the European Politicians who even don't belong to the Mainstream, to look for each other, to cooperate, and to express together our opinion", he proposed. 

- "Not against somebody else, but to make it ... Listenable, Hearable and Visible, that we are here, and we have Values !".

EUROPE IS OUR HOME !

+ Thus, " We (Hungary) must have good relations and links with all sides of Europe and the World, East, West, North, South, inside and/or outsisde of Europe, but it's a fact that we Belong to the Community of Western European Countries", he replied to all those (MEPs and/or other Journalists, were asking him whether Hungary would choose to leave the EU)...

- So, "I will be the last person who wil stay", inside whatever it migt be called in the Future, "European Union", or "Union of European Nations", or whatever else", the Prime Minister of Hungary anounced.

- "Because of the Unfair Treatment into which we (Hungary) have been subjected, just a few Hours before (i.e. facing many Harsh Attacks in EU Parliament's Plenary, on the basis of a "Green" MEP's controversial Report), we won't cease to belong to the West.
=> - "Our place is there where we are  : Historically, Culturally, Geographically".

-"Belonging to Europe it's not a Tactical Game, it's not a Calculation  ; - It's OUR PLACE !", (alias : "our Home !", "Heimat !", "Chez nous !", etc), Victor Orban strongly concluded, speaking in his well-attended Press Conference with many Journalists including "EuroFora", with a vivid pro-European plaidoyerie..

Summing up the real Motivations which might stand behind some Lobbies which are obviously, harassing systematically nowadays Hungary, while they never did anything to really criticize some previous "Socialist" ao. regimes, both in Hungary and elsewhere, not even when they Destroyed the Economy and also Opressed Violently the People, (as even the Human-Rights' Defender, Dutch Liberal MEP Sophia in 't Veld honestly admitted in her observations during an earlier EU Parliament's Plenary Debate), Victor Orban mainly stressed the following points :

- Protection of Natural Family, Christianity, Human Embryo, and Nation, f.ex. in the new Hungarian Constitution, are a 1st series of Targets of Attacks by some Groups,

to which is also added another series of Big Business-related issues, mainly because some Interests of certain Big Corporations, Banks and MultiNational Compagnies, etc., are attempting to exert Pressure on the Hungarian Government, because we have imposed a Tax on Banks, Oil-Gas Compagnies, etc., in order to be able to Cut or Reduce Energy Prices for the People, Victor Orban revealed earlier, right from the start of his Press Conference at EU Parliament in Strasbourg to Journalists, including "EuroFora" : All for all, this represents about some 60 Billions €, which is rather Huge compared to the Country's GDP, he noted.

But, at the same time, Hungary has succeeded to become anew able to borrow Money to the Financial Markets without problems, so that we don't need any EU Aid (contrary to several other EU Countries), Public Deficit has been Diminishing, Foreign Trade and Exports are booming, Unemployment is being reduced, while more and more People are being Employed now, and Growth has re-started : There are certainly, still, various points that we must ameliorate further, but, at least, the current situation and trend of the Economy in Hungary, clearly indicates that European Countries can start to overcome this Global Crisis, contary to those who claim that Europe is finished, but raising, instead, real Hopes for Europe's Future !

So, normaly, we expected more Friendly Handshakes and some Encouragements from real European politicians, instead of systematically Unfair Attacks, he regretted, (obviously pointing at Risks for some to provoke, thus, Anti-European feelings among EU Citizens, as also many MEPs from various Countries, warned previously during the EU Parliament's Plenary Debate)...

Meanwhile, Victor Orban, willingly discussed at long, at the end of this Press Conference, with at least 2 Minorities' representatives, one from the LGBT group, and another from the Jewish Community (who thanked him for a recent Initiative related to "Holocaust"'s Memory, etc), that he reassured and invited them, whenever they wish, to visit Hungary.
