*Strasbourg/CoE/Angelo Marcopolo/- Replying to a Question raised by the Biggest Group of MEPs at CoE's PanEuropean Parliamentary Assembly, that of ChristianDemocrats/EPP, French President Hollande called for "Support" to all those Western Balkans "route" Countries which managed to recently Stop the Mass Migrant's "Tsunami" via Turkey (1,5 Million during 2015-2016), starting from Mid-February 2016.

FYROM's MEP Nikololoski noted the Fact that, "Unfortunately, EU Failed to Control itself all its External Borders" until now, and asked Hollande what he thinks about the supplementary role of Other European, Non-EU Member Countries, (which have notioriously Blocked any Massive irregular Tresspassing recently).

The French President, in substance, reacted Positively, by Calling Not Only to Help Strengthen the Border Checks that such Balkan route Countries (both EU and Non-EU) have notoriously set up, but also for "the EU (to) Support those Balkan Countries" which do so.

A Change in relevant EU policies Started already to become perceptible since the EU-27 Summit in Bratislava (9/2016)?. But Hollande's reply comes also Timely, at the Eve of a forthcoming EU-28 Summit in Brussels, Next Week, due to review also the overall EU's Migration Strategy.

Francois Hollande earlier met with and saluted Many People at the CoE, in Strasbourg Today, but it's not yet known if he really discussed with anyone here these issues beforehand, in the few Time that he had available in that SHort but Important visit.

Sarkozy stimulated by Irish "No" challenge : - "It's a call to change and build Europe otherwise. Not later, but now. It won't be easy, but it's fascinating !"

-------------------

* Paris, Elysee, June 14, 2008.

Forthcoming EU Chairman, French President Nikolas Sarkozy, created a surprise by declaring that the challenge of the Irish "No" to the EU Treaty, stimulates his belief that we must immediately change the way Europe is built.

A difficult but fascinating task, that he intends to accomplish in the next 6 Months, during which he will analyse developments 3 times to EU Parliament in Strasbourg, on July, October and December 2008.

But Agenda obliged to give a first reply to Questions raised by the Irish Referendum, on the sidelines of a Press Conference with USA President GWBush, in Paris' Elysee palace, Saturday :

Sarkozy's reply was twofold :

First, the Franco-German position is that EU must make sure "that the Irish Incident does not become a Crisis". Ratification must continue, after 18 EU Member States, also to the rest, as UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown promised.

But, pointing at deeper causes, Sarkozy also criticized bureaucratic "sabotage" of Europe's "founding fathers" original dream. The move reminded his Historic February and July 2007 speaches in Strasbourg on Europe's future, joining criticism to a call for EU's Renaissance, which now became urgent :
