*Strasbourg/Angelo Marcopolo/- At a 3rd Victory in a Row, but the Most Important until now, for the ChristianDemocrat/EPP Party of Chancelor Angie Merkel, the German People voted for a Large, Absolute Majority at the Right side of the Political spectrum, in the most Populated, (and long-time Socialist stronghold), Länder of the Country, that of Northern Rhein - Westphalia (NRW) Today.

With 53% of the Votes for the Right, against Only 42,5% for the Left, and 4,5% for "Various" Other Candidates (many of whom are also of the Right), the ChristianDemocrats (CDU), together with the Liberals, and the Alternative, get a confortable Majority of 116 Representatives, i.e. 16 More than the Required Absolute Majority of 100 in order to Govern NRW, while the Socialists, Greens and the Leftists get 83 Representatives only.

german_nrw_laender_elec_results_votes__gains_400

The Biggest Growth in 2017 is that of the Rightists of the "Alternative", getting almost +8% More Votes than in the Past, which Enters, for the 1st Time, NRW's Assembly with 16 MPs. It's closely Followed by the ChristianDemocrats of CDU, who augment about +7% more then before, with 33% of the Votes, and 72 MPs, becoming the Strongest Party in NRW. Whiile the Liberals augment for +4% More, reaching 12,5% of the Votes and 28 MPs.

On the Contrary, the Socialists are Loosing about -8% from their Votes of the Past, Falling Down to Just 31% and only 69 MPs They are followed by the "Greens", who lose about -5%, Falling down to Less than 6,5%, with just 14 MPs. Only the Small Leftist Party manages to add +2,4%, but stil remains at Lower levels than the required 5% Threshhold and can't get any MP at all...

The real Reason behind all these electoral results of 2017, doesn't seem to be just CDU's Education and Economy policy, despite their eventual Interest. It's much more towards "Inner Security", and Cultural/Historic Identity/Integration that push hard the most Experienced Observers :

(Chancelor Angie Merkel
+ NRW's CDU Laschet, an Experienced fomer Long-Time MEP at EU Parliament)

Indeed, Chancelor Angie Merkel had already Adjusted the CDU's overall line at 2017's "Partei Tag",  earlier this year, by Resuming her main task as being to Prevent a Leftist ("Red - Red", i.e. Socialists - Leftists) spread, and, particularly to "Re-Integrate" (Bring Back Home, to Mainstream Center-Right politics) those People who had Recently Started to go towards the Rightists, in Germany as also in many other EU Countries.

This Move, (accentuated after the Berlin Massacre of Innocent Civilian People targetted with a Truck by an Irregular Migrant among those who had Entered in Europe by tresspassing its External Borders to Turkey in the Past, and various other such Islamic Terrorism-related Incidents, in Germany and elsewhere in Europe.

Inter alia, it's also her closest, long-time collaborator, current JHA Minister, Thomas de Maiziere, who also Added recently Fresh references to "German Culture", in addition to renewed Criticism of Islamist "Burqua" spread, (often notoriously abused as a Symbol of rampant Islamization of Europe), etc. A Result was to limit leaks towards the "Alternative", but without stopping yet them, as well as to Bring Back to active, Voting Politica, many former mainstream Center-Right CDU Supporters, who, emanwhile, feeling recently deceived, had fleed into Abstention, but now started to Return Back, as initial NRW Vote Statistics revealed Today.

In Addition, one of the Particular Reasons for NRW People to be very Critical rgarding Socialists' rule, these Last Years, is certainly also the Scandalous way in which the NRW Establishment MissBehaved when its Officials grossly Betrayed and Abandoned (even .. Blocked, f.e. by Closing Down the Main Railroad Station), UnProtected several Thousands of fragile and innocent Young Girls and Women, (most of them from Poor or Middle-Class Families), to be Brutaly Abused and Massively Assaulted by Gangs of Violent and Coward Thugs, who had just intruded in Europe amidst the "Tsunami" of 1,5 Million of so-called "Asylum Seekers"/Mass Irregular Migrants through Turkey, resulting in an Unprecedented Mass of Sexual Assaults, Thefts, Inhuman/Degrading Treatments and/or Rapes, in front of Koeln's downtown Cathedral, the very Day of 2015's New Year, as even CoE's Assembly strongly Condemned, asking for a full Investigation on what really happened, and for all those Responsible to be found and punished, so that elementary Justice can be done vis a vis Thousands of Victims and their Famiies, (Comp. f.ex. "Eurofora"s NewsReport, then, at: http://www.eurofora.net/newsflashes/news/coeforenquiryandjusticeonmobviolentattacksagainstwomen.html , but also : http://www.eurofora.net/newsflashes/news/coeleadersonrefugeesmigrantsafterrecentattacks.html , http://www.eurofora.net/newsflashes/news/coetodebatewomensmassaggressionsandattemptstohidethetruth.html  , + http://www.eurofora.net/newsflashes/news/echrrukinghelpsinvestigatemobattacksvwomen.html , etc).

-----------------------

However, the recent 3 Wins for the German Right in Landers' Votes, do Not PreJudge at all the possible Outcome of the crucial forthcoming Federal Elections, scheduled for September 2017, other Experienced Observers Warned.

One of the Reasons for that is also the Fact that, despite a recent trend (Confirmed Today) for at least a Part of former Abstentionists to Return Back to Active Vote, nevertheless, the Remaining percentage of Abstention in Länders' Elections is still quite High, while, on the Contrary, the forthcoming Federal Election of 9/2017 will probably attract a much Stronger Popular Participation.

Therefore, these recent 3 Wins of the Right in Länders' Elections is, certainly, a Clear Indication of the Directions towards which is currently Moving the German People's collective Will, but will need to be freshly Confirmed anew 4 Months Later....

    - "Europe must be liberated from this undermining "wooden talk" of a "unique thought" which hampers democratic debates", stressed incoming EU Chairman, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, speaking to Journalists after his official meeting with EU Commission's President, Jose Barroso, at Elysee Palace in Paris

    - "It's precisely because there are not enough Debates, that EU hasn't managed yet to make it clear to European citizens what is really at stake", he added, in an obvious reference to the latest Irish "No" in 2008, after a long series of similar, unprecedented events, from the 1st Majority Abstention to EU Parliament's Elections in 1999, repeated in 2004, to the Dutch and French "No" in 2005, etc.

In fact, "there is no time to lose for Europe, and that's why we decided to start the French EU Presidency right away, from the first day", he explained, on France's exceptional choice to schedule the usual meeting with EU Commission from the 1st day of the 1st month, instead of the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th or even 10th or 11th, as it had been done by others in the Past..

    - "This is not an easy period, but we shall act with determination, while also listening to Citizens' views", he promised.

Sarkozy's move came shortly before his opening Speech, next week in EU Parliament in Strasbourg, for the first Public Debate on the Priorities of the French EU Presidency (July - December 2008), and that's one of the reasons for which he significantly opened his EU Council's Chairmanship by welcoming at Elysee palace EU Parliament's President, German MEP Hans Gert Poettering at first..

The incoming EU Chairman was replying to Press Questions about rumours that controversial British EU Commissioner on Trade, Mandelson, was alone to drop an invitation to have a working Diner at Elysee palace, together with all other EU Commissioners and the French Government, only because he would have been upset for some critical points made earlier by President Sarkozy in defense of European Agriculture vis-a-vis its Foreign competitors.

But, as smiling Sarkozy played down Mandelson's reported refusal to debate, saying that he had to visit Marseille for a Ministerial meeting on Trade the next morning, and that "all our British friends are always welcome to taste a nice diner" in France, perhaps at another occasion..

    - "It's urgent to win anew the trust of the People" : Lately, "the European ideal lost its momentum. Since several years, whenever Citizens are questioned on Europe, they react with reserves : They even have .. a tendency to reply "NO".. After this 3rd "No" of a People in some years, there is an Urgency to convince", added French Prime Minister Francois Fillon, after a meeting earlier the same day of all Ministers with EU Commissioners, followed by an interview with Barroso

"According to recent Polls, only 30% of French people believe that the European construction is a source of hope. It's only a poll, but we all now quite well, that, since 2005, it's dangerous to neglect these alarming signals, as it would be dangerous to treat with contempt the Irish "No", Fillon warned.

"We all have a common duty to prove to the European Citizens who have doubts, that EU is more useful, more necessary, than ever" : And "that EU can take decisions needed in order to respond to European or Global challenges", the Prime Minister concluded.

    - "We believe, together with President Sarkozy, that EU should open debates on all issues of direct, concrete interest to Citizens", confirmed later to EuroFora the Head of France's governing party (UMP), Patrick Devedjan, after his speech to the European People's party (EPP) Study Days in Paris (2 - 4 July 2008).

He didn't deny that one of them is Turkey : - "Public Opinion in France is very much unfavorable to Turkey's EU bid, and President Sarkozy has said that several times", he told EuroFora.

From European Central Bank's controversial policies on Euro's value, to EU Enlargement Strategy, etc., issues of obvious importance to EU Citizens will be plenty, next week in EU Parliament in Strasbourg, before President Sarkozy launches the debates on EU 2008 French chairmanship's priorities on Thursday.

Polls

2009 EU Elections were won by Parties against Technocracy and Turkey's controversial EU bid, while the 1999-2004 Majority Abstention trend decelerated. What should be done in 2009-2014 ?
