*Strasbourg/Angelo Marcopolo/- EU's 27 Leaders Unanimously "Condemned" the "Barbaric" Islamist Terrorist Attacks which Decapitated a SchoolTeacher and 2 Women in a Church, with its Sacristan, in France, in the Context of Hateful and "Absolutely Unacceptable" "Provocations" and "Rhetoric" by Turkey, which "has chosen a Path"  Leading to EU Sanctions, as Europeans "are totaly Determined ...to Defend" our "Shared Values", "United" Together.

- "I am, wholeHeartedly, with France !", and "Condemn the Abominable and Brutal Attack of Nice, this Morning", stressed from the outset, at a subsequent Press Conference, also EU Commission's President, Ursula von der Leyen

 - "The Whole Europe is in Solidarity with France. We Stay United and Determined vis a vis Fanatism", she vowed.

- EU Council's President, Charles Michel, underlined later, in this same Press Conference,  EU Leaders' "Determination to be Respected" by Turkey.

- Earlier, at the Beginning of "October" 2020, "We (EU)had a Strategic Debate on ...our Relationship with Turkey", on the occasion of "the Eastern Mediterranean" EU Energy Resources' row, he Reminded. - "We ...Agreed to work on 2 Tracks. A Positive track (i.e. a Cooperation Partnership Offer), and a Less positive one", (i.e. Vowing to Use All Available EU Means, from Economic and Financial, up to Legal, Security/Defense, etc. including Sanctions, to Make Ankara Behave), thus "Offering a clear way to work towards a positive agenda with Turkey".

=> However, "So Far, Turkey has Not Chosen this ("Positive") Path", But Obviously the Negative one, (i.e. Leading to Sanctions), Michel clearly Denounced, Warning Ankara for the Consequences...

>>> Thus, "We (EU Leaders) Condemn" the "Recent  ... Provocations and Rhetoric" of Turkey mainly against France, (i.e. Repeated, "Too Vulgar", as German Chancelor Merkel Denounced, Insults versus President Macron, Interference in France's Internal Home Policies, Calls to "Boycott" French Products, etc), as well as, Even More "Unilateral Action in Eastern Mediterranean"'s EU Energy Hub, particularly around EU Members Greece and Cyprus, (such as illegal "Drillings" and/or Turkish GunBoats in their EEZ, etc), "which are Completely Unacceptable".

+ Therefore, Instead of pushing towards "Division" between "Communities and Religions", as the Turkish President Erdogan, Notoriously did Recently, targetting France, but, in fact, affecting all the EU and well beyond, f.ex. in the case of Press Freedom of Expression, (where, Already, the 1st Big Massive Massacre of Civilians by Islamist Terrorists had been committed in Paris, since 2015, at the "Charlie Hebdo" Coward Attacks against Journalists, Followed Nowadays by SchoolTeacher Samuel Paty's BeHeading on 2020, etc), and/or around France's Recent Efforts to Protect the Country and its People from Foreign States' Interference spreading "Separatism" particularly under disguise of Religious Extremism, (f.ex. via "Imams" Recruited, Trained, Paid and Controled from Abroad, as in Turkey's case, also inside Germany, and Other EU Countries), on the Contrary, "Leaders around the World" should "Work Towards Dialogue and Understanding", an EU Summit's Official Declaration "Called".

=> "Standing United and Firm, in ... Solidarity with France, with the French People and the Government of France, in ... Common and continued Fight against Terrorism and Violent Extremism", the 27 EU Leaders "Condemned, in the Strongest possible terms, these (Recent Deadly Islamist) Terrorist Attacks in France", "which represent Attacks on our Shared Values", the Brussels' Summit's Declaration stressed.

=> Thus, the EU Council is "totally Determined to pull Together and to stand United, as a European Family, to Defend the Values of Freedom, Democracy and the rule of Law", its President, Michel, pointed out, (Reminding the RDV of "December" 2020 Full EU Summit, in order to "revert to This Topic", as Turkey's Last Chance).

Europe brings Development dynamics at Global Crisis' Summit debates

eudevdays_400

Thanks also to EU Parliament Plenary's Strasbourg gathering, EU, during the French EU Presidency, managed to integrate the Development issues at Top Debates on the World Summit against the Economic Crisis  :

For the 1st time, it's at the same moment with the Wahington G-20 Summit that EU Commissioner Louis Michel co-organizes here with the French EU Presidency parallel mega-events for the "European Development Days", starting from this Week-End and concluding at the eve of a landmark debate in EU Parliament, next Tuesday, on the outcome and follow-up of the Wash.DC Summit.

EU and its Member Countries are the biggest donor for UNO's Millenium Development goals, with 56%, but the 27 are currently struggling to develop a collective leadership in Economic and social matters, that the 15 of EuroGroup (together with the UK and other countries interested to be usefully associated) are starting to spearhead, after the initial success of the 1st EuroZone Heads of State and Government Summit, of October 12 in Paris, according to a New Repport by MEPs Pervench Beres and Werner Langen on the 10 Years of EuroZone (1999-2009) debated Monday and voted on Tuesday.

EU, CoE and World personalities will interact here with Heads of State or Government from Tanzania (African Union chair), Burkina Faso (CEDEAO + UEMOA chair), Zimbabwe (MDC chair), Madagascar, Haiti, Mali, Benin, etc, and some 3000 participants from the Economy, Civil Society, Media, Experts, etc, while the City of Strasbourg adds various related Citizen-events.

Opened by French Secretary of State Alain Joyandet on November 15, and followed by a video-contact with EU Commission President Jose Baroso on the Washington Summit Sunday, the EDD are concluded by Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner on Monday, while their main concerns cannot be ignored in the Debate that EU Parliament will hold on Tuesday, (followed by a Resolution on Wednesday), jointly on the G-20 Washington Summit and on EU Commission's work program for 2009.

A practical opportunity for EU to reflect where it's better to spend EU Citizens' money...

The move is prolonged in several Paris' meetings of EU chair, French President Nicolas Sarkozy with African Heads of State leading regional Organizations, as from Tanzania (A.U. Chair), Burkina Faso (chair of Economic African organizations), Togo, etc, (in parallel with a Ministerial EU - African Union conference in Ethiopia, followed by a visit to Tchad), logically concluded by a meeting with Robert Zoellic President of the World Bank.

Many have already warned that an eventual aggravation of Development's Gap accross the World might become much more dangerous to Global Economy, Security, Values and Quality of Life, than Global Warming and/or other, even more serious challenges...

Will they find an innovative and voluntarist way to really deal with the Development Gap, which might also contribute to help face the Economic Crisis ?

Polls

2009 EU Elections were won by Parties against Technocracy and Turkey's controversial EU bid, while the 1999-2004 Majority Abstention trend decelerated. What should be done in 2009-2014 ?
