EU Chair Kurz points at Egypt solution on Mass Migration + stronger Borders
*Salzburg/EU Summit/Angelo Marcopolo/- In a Surprize-move, New EU President-in-office, Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, in Addition to More Measures destinated to Strengthen EU's External Borders' Monitoring, as well as Financial Support to 3rd African and other Neighbouring 3rd Countries' Economies, (etc), pointed, in particular, to a kind of Model Role reportedly played by Egypt into acting in order for Ships full of Irregular Mass Migrants, do Not Reach Europe, Neither get Lost somewhere in the Mediterranean Sea, but Return Safely Back to Africa.
Significantly, Kurz anounced that during his Joint Press Conference, on the Conclusions of the EU Heads of State/Government's Summit in Salzburg, Together with EU Council's President Donald Tusk and EU Commission's President Jean-Claude Juncker, (them too Former Prime Ministers of Poland and Luxembourg, respectively), due to develop further the next moves at EU Leaders' Agenda on Mass Migration, BREXIT, etc.
-----------------------
Even if Egypt is Not Willing to Host Collective "Centers" for such People on its national Territory, on the Contrary, it would be Ready to Offer that Alternative Solution to the recent and manifold Challenge of Mass Asylum Seekers/Irregular Migrants, since that 2015/2016 Big, sudden "Tsunami" of more than +1,5 Millions People massively Intruding in Europe through Turkey, whose manifold repercussions notoriously were at the Core of the present Salzburg's EU Summit, (Comp., f.ex. : .., etc).
Currently, Egypt is the Only Mediterranean Country from which Not even 1 such Ship, usually Exploited by Traffickers and Smugglers, did Not Reach Europe recently, and it has even Brought Back Home such Smugglers' Ships, while also Preventing eventual Tragedies, Kurz told in substance here Journalists, including Eurofora.
In order to Support and Develop such Activities, a special EU - Egypt Summit is currently Scheduled for November 2018, Sebastian Kurz announced.
(UPDATE: Immediately after Salzburg's Press Conference with Kurz's statements, the Austrian Press followed that EU - Egypt cooperation lead against Mass Irregular Migration)
______________________
But, in Parallel, EU Intends to Boost Similar a.o. Actions also by Many Other South-Mediterranean Countries, inter alia, also in the Framework of various, already existing, as well as new EU - Africa Cooperation Programs. (Comp., among others, also the EU+CoE Programme "SUD" etc., which can include a Fight against Human Trafficking, as well as adequate Migration Policies, etc., f.ex. at: http://www.eurofora.net/newsflashes/news/eucoesouthmediterraneanprogram.html, etc).
Egypt has recently developed also frequent Top Level, Key Strategic Regional Summits, Together with EU Member States Cyprus and Greece, concerning both the Fight against Terrorism, and the Use and Transports of New Natural Energy findings at the South-Eastern Mediterranean, (parallel, and in Addition also with those recently Evolving, Israel-Cyprus-Greece, EU-sponsored Plans for Direct Energy Transports to EU's core Industrial Regions.
The Latest such Egypt-Greece-Cyprus Regional Summit has just taken place a few Days ago, (See also : ...), just before this Salzburg EU Summit on Mass Migration and related BREXIT issues, whose long-term repercussions may prove to be much more important than expected...
Egypt-model related Developments about Mass/Irregular Migration, (Comp. Supra), were practically Shadowed by parallel, last-minute developments on BREXIT : This, inter alia, f.ex. provoked 2 Changes in the Press Briefings' Timetable : At First by pulling their scheduled Start 1 Hour Earlier, while Afterwards, it went back to its initially foreseen Time, 1 Hour Later. But also by Focusing the bilateral Discussions among Journalists, Diplomats and/or Politicians rather on BREXIT, at the Sidelines of Salzburg's Summit, (including, f.ex., "Eurofora" co-Founder's encounter with a British Diplomat, and even an INTW that we were asked to give to an ...Arab TV Channel, astonishingly more interested on BREXIT than on Mass Migration, etc).
But Both these Events were notoriously Influenced by the Same 2015/2016 initiated exceptional Mass Incidents, triggered through Turkey's Borders to EU Members Greece and Bulgaria, (etc).

Europe brings Development dynamics at Global Crisis' Summit debates
Thanks also to EU Parliament Plenary's Strasbourg gathering, EU, during the French EU Presidency, managed to integrate the Development issues at Top Debates on the World Summit against the Economic Crisis :
For the 1st time, it's at the same moment with the Wahington G-20 Summit that EU Commissioner Louis Michel co-organizes here with the French EU Presidency parallel mega-events for the "European Development Days", starting from this Week-End and concluding at the eve of a landmark debate in EU Parliament, next Tuesday, on the outcome and follow-up of the Wash.DC Summit.
EU and its Member Countries are the biggest donor for UNO's Millenium Development goals, with 56%, but the 27 are currently struggling to develop a collective leadership in Economic and social matters, that the 15 of EuroGroup (together with the UK and other countries interested to be usefully associated) are starting to spearhead, after the initial success of the 1st EuroZone Heads of State and Government Summit, of October 12 in Paris, according to a New Repport by MEPs Pervench Beres and Werner Langen on the 10 Years of EuroZone (1999-2009) debated Monday and voted on Tuesday.
EU, CoE and World personalities will interact here with Heads of State or Government from Tanzania (African Union chair), Burkina Faso (CEDEAO + UEMOA chair), Zimbabwe (MDC chair), Madagascar, Haiti, Mali, Benin, etc, and some 3000 participants from the Economy, Civil Society, Media, Experts, etc, while the City of Strasbourg adds various related Citizen-events.
Opened by French Secretary of State Alain Joyandet on November 15, and followed by a video-contact with EU Commission President Jose Baroso on the Washington Summit Sunday, the EDD are concluded by Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner on Monday, while their main concerns cannot be ignored in the Debate that EU Parliament will hold on Tuesday, (followed by a Resolution on Wednesday), jointly on the G-20 Washington Summit and on EU Commission's work program for 2009.
A practical opportunity for EU to reflect where it's better to spend EU Citizens' money...
The move is prolonged in several Paris' meetings of EU chair, French President Nicolas Sarkozy with African Heads of State leading regional Organizations, as from Tanzania (A.U. Chair), Burkina Faso (chair of Economic African organizations), Togo, etc, (in parallel with a Ministerial EU - African Union conference in Ethiopia, followed by a visit to Tchad), logically concluded by a meeting with Robert Zoellic President of the World Bank.
Many have already warned that an eventual aggravation of Development's Gap accross the World might become much more dangerous to Global Economy, Security, Values and Quality of Life, than Global Warming and/or other, even more serious challenges...
Will they find an innovative and voluntarist way to really deal with the Development Gap, which might also contribute to help face the Economic Crisis ?
