*Strasbourg/Angelo Marcopolo/- Speaking to "Eurofora" and other Journalists Invited to her 2021 Annual Video-Press Conference, the European Defensor of Citizens, alias "Ombudsman", Emily O'Reilly, a 3 Times re-Elected, experienced former Mainstream Medias' actor from Ireland, strongly Denounced what she called a recent "Worsening" of EU's Problems against Transparency, particularly during the current Virus' Epidemic (2020-2021).

- After presenting her Annual Report for 2020, O'Reilly extended Further Nowadays (+2021) on "Transparency" throughout EU's Commission, Parliament, Council, and/or various Other Bodies, by Criticaly Observing the existence of "a Lot of Lack of Transparency".

 - Indeed, this has Become clearly "Worse" during the current "Pandemic" of COVIT-19 Virus (2020-2021), she strongly Denounced.

- Such Problems affect, particularly, EU's "Decision-Making" process, pointed out O'Reilly, thus Focusing on the Main Area of "Eurofora"s Project for Dialogue between EU-Citizens and Political Leaders Before Decisions affecting their Lives and/or Society at large are taken, that she has partly Backed, by her relevant Replies to Our Questions, Earlier, at EU Parliament in Strasbourg, (See :http://www.eurofora.net/newsflashes/news/euombudsmanoneurofforaproject.html,  Comp.: http://www.eurofora.net/newsflashes/news/euombudsmandecisionandeuroforaproject.html, + http://www.eurofora.net/newsflashes/news/euparliamentonombudsmanandeurofora.html, etc).

The move obviously comes in an Exceptionaly Delicate Period, while, inter alia, f.ex., EU Commission is reportedly due to Examine and Decide on much More than a Billion € to Controversial "ANR" Genome Tool presented as "Vaccine" by Turkish "BNTech" SME, Exploited by Ugur Sahin, from Iskinderum, (near Idlib), which had been Funded by Bill Gates since 2019, in a Commercial Deal with USA's "Pfizer", managed by a Greek-origin CEO, linked to pro-"Socialist" Millionaires who had asked Political Asylum ...in Turkry (sic !) in the Past. Despite its "Hot" Cost, added to a Heavy ... -70 F. Degrees' Icy Temperature making its Handling Nasty, that "Vaccine"'s Managers notoriously Refuse USA and EU's alleged Ideas to Skip "Owner"'s Exclusive Rights on such Drugs, in order to Boost People's Access, in Europe and Worldwide. Meanwhile, it has practicaly enured, Currently, a quasi-Monopole in the EU, since the >EU Commission drags its feet, apparently Reluctant, until now, to Athorize any Other Vaccine, among Various Candidates from Many Other Countries, as Europe, (Historic Inventor Pasteur's Fatherland), Curiously, has Not Yet discovered Any Vaccine against this Deadly Virus...

    - However, O'Reilly's Criticism targeted mainly "the (EU) Council".   There where, f.ex., if a Small-Medium EU Member State, desperely strives to Defend a Key National Issue of Public Interest, amidst Others' total Indifference, this might find, perhaps, some kind of Sympathy. But Not if it's one or more Big States and/or Lobies eager to Impose a GeoPolitical and/or SocioPolitical Appartheid-like Division accross the EU, merely seeking one or another kind of selfish Dominance...

UK Prime Minister, Gordon Brownn's promise to French President Sarkozy that Great Britain will proceed to Lisbon Treaty's ratification was certainly fuelled further by MEPs' warning, meanwhile in Strasbourg, that all Enlargement stops until EU can have efficient Institutions for more than 27 member Countries.

EU Parliament's President, German MEP Hans Gert Poettering, formally announced this position, after consulting all Political Groups' Chairmen, Monday in Strasbourg, and most MEPs made the point crystal clear during Plenary Debates on Wednesday.

Thus, from Thursday, UK's House of Commons, at Westminster, gave its "Green Light" to Lisbon Treaty's ratification, which was completed later-on, after ovecoming some last minute attempts to block the process.

    - In only 3 other Member Countries we feel some "hesitations" : Poland, Czech Republic and Cyprus", said, meanwhile, EU Chairman-in-office, Slovenian Foreign Minister, Dr. Dimitri Ruppel, speaking to EU Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee in Strasbourg, However, "I didn't hear any explicit refusal", he carefully added.

Rupel's fears were later bellied in Cyprus' case, where a wide majority of political parties confirmed their support to the EU Treaty, but fears were confirmed in Poland's case, while Czechs said they waited for their Constitutional Court to pronounce itself.

A paradox is that the Polish President Lech Kaczynski, who reportedly expressed concerns about Lisbon Treaty, had personally signed himself its blueprint, while, on the contrary, Cyprus' new President, Christofias, despite its own party's opposal, declared that he'll respect the signature of his precedessor, former President Tassos Papadopoulos, in favor of EU Treaty.

But, "all that noise is a misinterpretations by some Western Media : Poland will ratify the EU Treaty, and even earlier than some other Member Countries", declared to "EuroFora", in a surprisingly optimistic tone, the Polish Chairman of EU Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, Jacek Saryuswolski...
