*Strasbourg/CoE/Angelo Marcopolo/- The 1rst Day of CoE Parliamentary Assembly's New President, Pedro Agramunt, an Experienced ChristianDemocrat MEPs' Leader from Spain, Started, inter alia, by an Unexpected and Spectacular Change of the PanEuropean body's Political Agenda, in the Middle of a Grandiose Speech mainly on how to ReVitalize, Today, Europe's "Founding Fathers' Capacity to "Overcome Adversity by Initiating" a New "process of ReConstruction and Unity", based on "Common Interests and Values", which, Today, should include also a joint Conscience of comon European Identity, EU Citizens' Safety vis a vis Brutal Deadly Threats by Extreme Islamic Terrorists as ISIL's, European Solidarity and Non-Discrimination, but also Integration and Europe's Unity, instead of Division.

Instead of Bashing, once again (as in the recent Past, f.ex., Hungary, etc), a New Conservative Government Voted by a Majority of People, by grossly Accusing almost its main State Reforms to be Contrary to Democracy and Media Freedoms, etc., as some were notoriously Pushing to do Now on Poland, on the contrary, CoE's Assembly Voted Today to Drop that Polish Issue from its Agenda, and introduce, instead, that of the many Hundreds of Defensless Women Brutaly Ill-Treated by Violent Mass Aggressors, attackibng their Victims by Coordinated Mobs, and of those Scandalous Attempts to Muzzle the Media by Hidding them several Key Facts for Many Days, including those of the Real Gravity of the Incidents and even the characteristics of the Aggressors, (mostly Immigrants, but a Tiny Minority among the more than 1 Million of Asylum Seekers/Massive Irregular Immigrants who suddenly came inside Europe, via Greece, from Turkey, during the Last 5 Months.

As embattled Prime Minister of Hungary, Victor Orban, reportedly put it, according to "Reuters" : - "Referring to the Sexual Assaults in Cologne on New Year's Eve that have been blamed on migrants and went Unreported by German media for (+5)Days, he said: - "Imagine if the Hungarian government managed to achieve that Neither the State-run, Nor the Private part of Hungarian Media would Report on ... such a Mass Atrocity, like the one in Cologne, for Days."...

What really Motivated Today such a Spectacular U-Turn in the Agenda of the PanEuropean Organisation for Human Rights, Democracy and Rule of Law, might also have been related to an Improbable but Not Excluded Risk for Poland to follow a Similar Path to that of Russia, (See "Eurofora"s NewsReport : .....), as well as to the obvious Fact that a previous similar Polish Debate, with New Prime Minister Beata Szydlo, at EU Parliament's Plenary, last week in Strasbourg, (See relevant "Eurofora"s NewsReport, already send, earlier, to "Eurofora"'s Subscribers/Donors, at : .....), didn't manage yet to Spot any really Serious wrong-doing, while, on the contrary, even one of the" Hottest" Critics, Liberal's Chief, former Prime Minister of Belgium, Guy Verhofstadt, had to clearly Admit that, among others, there was also a Blatant "Double Standards" Problem, by the Fact that even Worse Errors committed by previous, Socialist and/or Other various Governments, during Baroso I and II EU Commission's terms, hadn't, at all, been, not even, simply Controlled...

Denouncing "4 Interrelated and MultiFacet Challenges", such as, "1st, International Terrorism", the so-called "Refugee Crisis", and "Still Unresolved Conflicts", added to an "Erosion of Democratic and Human Rights Principles", (by a "wave of Left-wing and Right-wing Populism, rising Nationalism", etc), which "Affect" the "Cohesion" of Europeans, particularly, as long as "New Political, Administrative and Security Structures" have "Not yet" been "set up",  Nor "New Communities" "Integrated" "into European Societies", the New PACE President Agramunt launched an Appeal to "be United around CoE's Ideals of Democracy, Human Rights and the Rule of Law, as a Means of Ensuring Peace"", and Announced his "Intention to ReinForce ... Common Identity" and "Cultural Identity of All People of Europe", "recognizing that We are All Affected by our Common Problems", as he pointed out.

Sarkozy stimulated by Irish "No" challenge : - "It's a call to change and build Europe otherwise. Not later, but now. It won't be easy, but it's fascinating !"

-------------------

* Paris, Elysee, June 14, 2008.

Forthcoming EU Chairman, French President Nikolas Sarkozy, created a surprise by declaring that the challenge of the Irish "No" to the EU Treaty, stimulates his belief that we must immediately change the way Europe is built.

A difficult but fascinating task, that he intends to accomplish in the next 6 Months, during which he will analyse developments 3 times to EU Parliament in Strasbourg, on July, October and December 2008.

But Agenda obliged to give a first reply to Questions raised by the Irish Referendum, on the sidelines of a Press Conference with USA President GWBush, in Paris' Elysee palace, Saturday :

Sarkozy's reply was twofold :

First, the Franco-German position is that EU must make sure "that the Irish Incident does not become a Crisis". Ratification must continue, after 18 EU Member States, also to the rest, as UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown promised.

But, pointing at deeper causes, Sarkozy also criticized bureaucratic "sabotage" of Europe's "founding fathers" original dream. The move reminded his Historic February and July 2007 speaches in Strasbourg on Europe's future, joining criticism to a call for EU's Renaissance, which now became urgent :

2009 EU Elections were won by Parties against Technocracy and Turkey's controversial EU bid, while the 1999-2004 Majority Abstention trend decelerated. What should be done in 2009-2014 ?
