Afghan asylum seekers Welcomed near EU Parliament in Strasbourg EU-Fair, Day of Kaboul Airport Bomb

*Strasbourg/Angelo Marcopolo/- Only a Block away from EU Parliament's building in Strasbourg, a Group of Afghan asylum seekers has just Started to Arrive at a Surprizing Proximity to the 2021 Euro-Fair's area, in an empty Hotel Requisitioned by French Authorities for that purpose, by a Coincidence, the Same Day that, Later, in Kaboul's Airport, an Islamist Terrorist "ISIS"' Bombing reportedly Killed more than 100 People, including 13 American Soldiers...
That Hotel "Mercure" is Directly Facing Strasbourg's "Palace of Congresses and Music" (PMC), which Hosts the Annual "Euro-Fair", a Popular Event marking the Start of a New Season in Economic and Political terms, which takes place, this year, from 3 to 13 September 2021, (See : ..., etc), while MEPs are due to come for EU Parliament's Monthly Plenary between 13 - 16 September, i.e. when the would be Refugees will still be here, since they are due to Stay at least a Month.
--------------
Already, a First Bus with a Part of those Afghans, including some Children, just Arrived Today early Afternoon, at around 3 p.m., amidst a lot of Policemen and Security Forces, Shortly after a Press Conference in the PMC, on the Euro-Fair 2021, where "Eurofora" had been Invited and Participated (See : ..., etc), during which Questions were Raised on this UnExpected "Proximity" of about 150 Afghans asylum seekers and Strasbourg's Most Popular Event, usualy visited by many Families and Politicians, Now under the Windows of that "Mercure" Hotel, which had been Closed since the 2020 Pandemic for Renovation.
---------------------------------------
- "These News are too Recent, while we are now Focusing on preparing the Inauguration of Euro-Fair. It's true that it's an unexpected Proximity, But, once things are properly settled, I think that there will be No Problem", carefuly but positively said the Director of Strasbourg Events Organization, Marie Lathoud. (See Lathoud's Reply to "Eurofora"'s Questions at : ..., etc).
- "Even if they will stay at the Proximity of Euro-Fair, there is a Period of Quarantine, about 6 to 10 Days, and Afterwards they have to deal with Administrative/Security issues. When it's finished, they would be Welcome at the Euro-Fair, and this would be a Good Opportunity for them to Discover Strasbourg !", optimisticaly pointed out Salem Drici, Strasbourg Events' Board President, (See Drici's Reply to "Eurofora"'s Questions at : ..., etc).
------------------------------------------
France's Operation nick-named "Apagan" reportedly Evacuated about 4.000 French or 1fghans from Kaboul's Airport (UPDATED), with Military Planes, as announced by President Macron, and is due to End around August 28. Arriving at Paris, Roissy-Charles-De-Gaulle Airport (North), via Abou Dhabi (UAE), about 150 among them were Affected by the Government to Strasbourg's "Great-East" Region, and in the process of Arriving at this City.
Some of them Prefered, reportedly, to live withOut State Aid, leaving for Down-Town Paris, while at least One was Found to be a ...Taliban, who had Helped evacuate an Embassy, and was currently Questioned by the French Security Forces.
After the Taliban killed several Young French Soldiers, scandalously Abandoned in a Dangerous Mountain region withOut any Airplane Protection, Back on 2011, former French President Sarkozy (Center-Right) started a movement of Departure from that NATO force, under USA Direction, and this was Completed under former President Hollande (Socialist), as Macron reminded nowadays.
Both French President Macron and many Other Top EU Officials or Heads of State/Government, already Warned Against an eventual Repetition of the Notorious 2015-2016 Errors which let more than 1,5 Million mass Asylum Seekers, mainly from the Middle East, to tresspass into Greece up to Germany and/or the UK, etc, crossing Europe's external Borders, but underlined that, at least a number of serious Refugees, Linked with European States and Facing real Danger at nowadays Afghanistan, should be Protected.
Some Politicians and several Press Commendators apparently Criticized what they felt as an excessively Laxist policy vis a vis the current Afghan asylum seekers, (pointing, f.ex., to the usualy Expensive 150 Rooms at that "Mercure" Hotel, and the fact that Others, on the contrary, are abandoned Homeless in some Streets, etc), Contrary to those who Supported and Welcomed such Humanitarian moves. At least ToNight, however, the Suicide-Bombing that Killed more than 100 People, mainly Civilians, at Kaboul's Airport, reportedly Revendicated by ISIS in Afghanistan (an alleged Opponent to the Talibans, who "Condemned" such Brutal Methods, but Warned that such Attacks were triggered by the US Military forces currently still Holding Kaboul's Airport), naturally Alleviated such concerns.
US President Biden sliped Down in many unpopular Polls, after such an ill-treatment of the Afghan Issue, considered as a Blunder by many American People, and Contrary to former POTUS Trump's original Plan in many Key Points, who is now credited of 51% against 44%, shortly before the Forthcoming Mid-Term Elections on Autumn 2021, (UPDATED).

Europe brings Development dynamics at Global Crisis' Summit debates

Thanks also to EU Parliament Plenary's Strasbourg gathering, EU, during the French EU Presidency, managed to integrate the Development issues at Top Debates on the World Summit against the Economic Crisis :
For the 1st time, it's at the same moment with the Wahington G-20 Summit that EU Commissioner Louis Michel co-organizes here with the French EU Presidency parallel mega-events for the "European Development Days", starting from this Week-End and concluding at the eve of a landmark debate in EU Parliament, next Tuesday, on the outcome and follow-up of the Wash.DC Summit.
EU and its Member Countries are the biggest donor for UNO's Millenium Development goals, with 56%, but the 27 are currently struggling to develop a collective leadership in Economic and social matters, that the 15 of EuroGroup (together with the UK and other countries interested to be usefully associated) are starting to spearhead, after the initial success of the 1st EuroZone Heads of State and Government Summit, of October 12 in Paris, according to a New Repport by MEPs Pervench Beres and Werner Langen on the 10 Years of EuroZone (1999-2009) debated Monday and voted on Tuesday.
EU, CoE and World personalities will interact here with Heads of State or Government from Tanzania (African Union chair), Burkina Faso (CEDEAO + UEMOA chair), Zimbabwe (MDC chair), Madagascar, Haiti, Mali, Benin, etc, and some 3000 participants from the Economy, Civil Society, Media, Experts, etc, while the City of Strasbourg adds various related Citizen-events.
Opened by French Secretary of State Alain Joyandet on November 15, and followed by a video-contact with EU Commission President Jose Baroso on the Washington Summit Sunday, the EDD are concluded by Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner on Monday, while their main concerns cannot be ignored in the Debate that EU Parliament will hold on Tuesday, (followed by a Resolution on Wednesday), jointly on the G-20 Washington Summit and on EU Commission's work program for 2009.
A practical opportunity for EU to reflect where it's better to spend EU Citizens' money...
The move is prolonged in several Paris' meetings of EU chair, French President Nicolas Sarkozy with African Heads of State leading regional Organizations, as from Tanzania (A.U. Chair), Burkina Faso (chair of Economic African organizations), Togo, etc, (in parallel with a Ministerial EU - African Union conference in Ethiopia, followed by a visit to Tchad), logically concluded by a meeting with Robert Zoellic President of the World Bank.
Many have already warned that an eventual aggravation of Development's Gap accross the World might become much more dangerous to Global Economy, Security, Values and Quality of Life, than Global Warming and/or other, even more serious challenges...
Will they find an innovative and voluntarist way to really deal with the Development Gap, which might also contribute to help face the Economic Crisis ?
