1st Regions of France annual Convention : Will a New 2017 "King" be consecrated at Historic Reims ?

*Reims Cathedral-Tau Palace/Angelo Marcopolo/- Between 2 Young Top French Politicians, current Prime Minister Manuel Valls (a Socialist ally of Hollande, of Spanish origin, Married to a Jewish Wife), and President ad interim of Main Opposition Party "the Republicans", recently elected Head of the New Big Auvergne/Rhone-Alpes Region at the Franco-Swiss-Italian Borders , Alain Wauquiez (a self-declared Sarkozy faithful), significantly Both personaly Present at an Exceptionaly Important, 1st Annual Convention of the Brand New "Regions of France" union of 18 Regions, as Recently re-shuffled, mostly via Fusions in Bigger areas, easing Economic Policy, (without excluding, naturaly, also certain Other Young Top Hopeful, as, f.ex., Benoit Hamon, Emmanuel Macron, Bruno LeMaire, Marion Marechal-Le Pen, etc., who were, however, Absent at ToNight's Event), Nobody Knows yet if will Emerge, or not, a  "New King of France", in the forthcoming, April-May 2017, crucial French Presidential Election, (obviously Important also for All Europe, and well beyond), if not, perhaps, still Later-on...

 

 

At any case, it's a Fact that Both spoke to "Eurofora", on Brief but Topical Issues, this Evening, at an Extension of the Historic Reims' Cathedral, where Joan of Arc had notoriously struggled to Coronate the King of France who would succeed to Liberate the Country from a former English Army Invasion and Occupation of its Western Regions, inside the prestigious "Palace of Tau".

 

They were all Invited by the New President of all French Region's union, Philippe Richert from Strasbourg, (and recently Elected as the 1st President of the New, "Great East" Region of Alsace-Lorraine and Champagne/Ardennes, Comp. several Richert's replies to various "Eurofora"'s Questions, both in the Past and Nowadays), Together with the President of the French Senate, Gerard Larcher, (another Body with significant Territorial bases, that De Gaulle had notoriously wished to Transform, already as Early as since Back on 1969, with a Popular Referendum, into something Similar to a fully-fledged Federal Council, mainly Composed by reinforced Regions),

in what will be, Tomorrow, Thursday, 29 September 2016, not just a 12th Annual Convention of the Long-time pre-existing former "Association of French Regions" ("AFR"), but rather the 1st Annual Convention of a brand New "Regions of France" ("RoF") Stronger Union, freshly emerging, with a reNewed Popular Mandate's Legitimacy, from the Recent, December 2015 Regional Elections, just after a partialy Controversial, but Important Reform of the Regional DeCentralisation decided by the current Government in France, (Comp. relevant "Eurofora" NewsReports, f.ex., at : http://www.eurofora.net/newsflashes/news/franceregionelelectionsrepublicanswithgreensorfnrightistsforstrasbourg.html + http://www.eurofora.net/newsflashes/news/sarkozyautonomousalternativewinsregions.html).

 

 

In substance, Prime Minister Valls, spoke to "Eurofora" about, apparently a Possible Fresh Look at Crucial, Long-Term Strategy Choices on Funding High-Tech Projects at Strasbourg's Metropolitan-Regional area, particularly After some relevant, New Local/Regional Developments, (See our specific NewsReports at : http://www.eurofora.net/newsflashes/news/frenchprimeministervallsonhightechfunding.html + http://www.eurofora.net/newsflashes/news/frenchprimeministeroninnovationprojects.html).

 

While President Wauquiez, after personaly Saluting "Eurofora", stressed, with a smile, in front of us and certain other participants of Tonight's event, that, as a matter of general Principle of Democracy, the People should Send Back Home any previously elected Political Representatives who might have Not fullfiled their Pre-electoral Promisses at all...

 

 

Inevitably, this matched a Topical link with what appears to be one of the "Hot" Issues of this 2016 "RoF" Convention : I.e. that of a Change of Regions' public Funding, (particularly needed Now, given an important Extension of their Competences), from central State Grants, due to be still Decided Each Year in Paris, towards a Part of the VAT fiscal revenue, almost automatically re-conducted accross the years :

- Will it be practicaly Left, for Final Decision, to a Next National President and Government, due to emerge from the forthcoming 2017 Presidential and Parliamentarian Elections, or shall it be really Decided, in a Legaly-Binding way (at least for 2017), by the Current, still on-going President and Government, during the next 7 or 8 Months ?

 

 

Philippe Richert and several others Prefer the 2nd, obviously more Certain, Option, (also for a Better Previsibility and Long-Term Planning of Private and public potential Economic actors and Investors), but, as he Stressed this Evening, "there is a Lot of Work to do, already Tomorrow", i.e. during the All-Day long 1st Annual Convention of the brand New "Regions of France" union, which will be held at the Convention Center of the City of Reims : a real "Symbol", as all Speakers noticed for that Choice of such an Historicaly prestigious location.

 

This Evening's exceptional Gathering, symbolically took place in the "Palace of Tau", (from the Greek Alphabet's name of the Letter "T", which corresponds to the Shape of that former Episcopal Building that culminates at an Historic Chapel), where used to stay those who were Preparing to be coronated, at the adjacent Cathedral of Reims, as New Kings of France soon... 

 Joan of Arc's World Famous "vision" and struggle for the coronation of the future Liberator of France at Reims' Cathedral, at the Beginning of the 15th Century, eve of the European "Renaissance" era, was, in fact, preceded by an almost 1 Thousand Years' Older Tradition, steming from Saint Remis' bapteme rite for the Frank King Clovis at 496, at the nearby Reims' more Ancient "Basilica", that she aspired to ReVive anew, obviously pointing at France's and, by a Now very Topical (as many Recent Elections and other Popular Votes throughout the EU clearly indicate) relevant extension, all Europe's fundamentaly Christian roots.

A landmark Monument reminding, precisely, that nowadays crucial point, is also that rare Ancient Sulptrure, in White Marble, which reportedly pictures 3 Baptisms : that of Christ himself, followed by Constantine the Great, Founder of the Longest-thriving, OverMillenary Greek-Christian Empire of Byzance (300 - 1.453, just after Liberating Christian People from former Oppression, and creating that "New Rome" which durated until it was Invaded and Occupied by Ottoman Turks' military attacks), as well as Saint Remi's own baptism, at the Souhern Entrance of Reims' Basilica (a former Abbey) which bears his name until Today) : See relevant "Eurofora" Photo, taken just at our Arrival in Reims, before this Evening's exceptional "RoF" Event, (Comp.  However, Reims' Historic Symbol is much Wider : It is also Linked with Germany and a larger European Cultural Heritage issue, including some very Topical new offrsprings' potential, as is clearly Indicated, inter alia also by the Fact that visionary Alternative .. Rock Music Group from Germany "Eloy" (from World-Famous, Visionary Science-Fiction Writer H.G. Wells' "Time Machine" landmark Book), has already published a "Joan d' Arc" Video-Song in the recent Past, and is even Now preparing a Bigger, Full Version development Project on that throughout 2016, (i.e. at the 1520th Anniversary from the Initial, Historic Consecration of Clovis at Reims, as Early as since back on 496 : Comp.  The Participation, Tomorrow, here in Reims, at RoF's Annual 2016 Convention, f.ex. of Mecklenburg-Pomerania German Region representative in Brussels' EU's HQ, Dr. Reinhard Boest, (together with mainstram French MEP Renaud Muselier, Delegated President of PACA Region of Marseilles, and President of ARF's "Europe" Committee), an area where took place the 2007 "G-8" Global Heads of State/Government Summit at Heiligenam (Comp. f.ex. "Eurofora" co-Founder's NewsReport from that Summit, published then at "TCWeekly"+), and from which Region stems both Chancelor Angie Merkel and Germany's President Gauck, (among other Topical Symbolic particularities related to the Historic Re-Unification of Europe after the Fall of Berlin War, but also to much more Recent Issues), is another Symbolic sign pointing at a Similar European Direction.
