Popular Party (christian-democrats) won 39 seats out of 75, getting a Majority to govern the Galicia region, which was previously held by the Socialist Party (down to only 24 seats).

As for SP's plans to oust Basque nationalists, including moderates, apparently they failed, despite some progres, (but this remains to be seen up to the end).

However national polls reportedly indicate that support to SP's PM. Zapatero still remains intact, according to some Media sources.
