UNO: Russia tables Yanukovich' Demand to Help Apply the Feb. 21 Political Agreement signed under EU auspices at Kiev

During an exceptional UNO Security Council's meeting, at its New York Headquarters, convoked at the demand of Russia, its Permanent Representative, Ambassador Vitaly Churkin, presented officialy a Letter by Viktor Yanukovich, (elected Ukranian President destituted by the Maidan Demonstrators who seized the Rada at Kiev), requesting to use the RF armed forces for the restoration of the Constitutional order in his country :

 - "The illegal Seizure of power in Kiev have put Ukraine on the threshold of a Civil War.” “In this connection I turn to Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin with a Request to use the armed Forces of the Russian Federation for the Restoration of the Rule of Law, Peace, law and Order, Stability and for the Protection of the Population of Ukraine,” Churkin read in the letter, dated March 1.

 - "We call for a Solution based on the February 21 Agreement, including the formation of a legitimate Government of National Unity, with the involvement of all political Parties and Regions of the Country,” the Russian Diplomacy reportedly said earlier, refering to the Negotiations Concluded with the Opposition in the active presence initially of French Foreign Minister Fabius, but finaly mainly with German Foreign Minister Steinmeier (SDP) together with Yanukovich, (See Photos of the event).

-"One might think that Moscow had just become the rapid response arm of the (UN) Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights", reacted with irony USA's Permanent Representative to the UNO, Ambassador Samantha Power.  USA "categorically rejects the notion that ...Ukraine [is now under] a “government of victors. "A(n) ...Issue is whether the Population of the Crimea or other parts of Eastern Ukraine, are at Risk", she admitted, but  "there is No Evidence of this", the American diplomat found. At any case "there is nothing that justifies Russian conduct", Power concluded.
