The Turkish Government definitively droped Airbus' newest and biggest Airplane : A 380, refusing to buy even one, (contrary to Arab and other 3rd Countries which have already bought several A 380ies).

On the contrary, Ankara limited itself to old and small A 320 in its latest command, made before the end of 2009, and hasn't yet decided if the majority of its 20 pieces only contract might be composed by even older and smaller A 319 !..

The disappointing news were kept secret for days, since a December 30, 2009, command, and acknowledged by Airbus only many Days later, next Month and Year, late this afternoon of Tuesday, Jan. 5 2010.

The Turkish restriction only to old and small 319-320ies seems astonishing, when one knows that Ankara already had bought in the past at least "medium" A 330 and 340.

Previous attempts, mainly by former German Socialist chancellor Schroeder, to convince Turkey to buy A 380ies, had already failed.

Despite that, Turkey still insists to get European Money for its controversial part in the most problematic Airbus : the delayed A 400 M, a financial and technical failure, of a limited, Regional range only, decided in dubious circumstances by former "Socialist" Governments, after the non-elucidated incident of the deadly crash of InterContinental, Global Surpersonic Airplane "Concord" in Paris, July 2000, (abandoned since then for the Regional, old technology A400M, inevitably deprived of any innovative or global ambition).
