When Mrs Von der Leyen spoke to MEPs in Public, earlier Today,

she did Not say practically Nothing Substantial on the "Hot" Problem of recent Mass Irregular, Non-European Migration, Massive Asylum Claims, Neither on persisting Deadly Risks of Islamist Terrorism, etc.,

except from Repeating a wording such as : "creation of Humanitarian Corridors", "Save Lives at Sea", "Human Borders" (sic !), "How to Learn German by living 5 Years free of charge in Von der Leyen's House" (that's "New" !), etc.

For the rest, it's Only about "Reducing" (not Stopping, Neither reversing) that Massive Influx of 2015-2016+ via Turkey etc, and, eventually, a promise to have that tragically insufficient and anodyne Small Group of EU "Coast-Guards" not on 2028, but on 2025 ("Revolutionary" !...).

Rumours to push ...Von Der Leyen, (currently at the Defense Ministry in Germany), to the Top EU Job at EU Commission's Presidency are very Worrying :

- Von der Leyen is linked to BioTech. Lobbies which are becoming Dangerous for Humanity, particularly since recent Technologies of Heritabe Genetic Manipulations, irreversible for Generations to come.
Among others, she had attempted to impose Systematic and Massive PreNatal Genetic Tests to all Human Embryos, bringing the Risk of Racist Eugenism one Step Closer, at an Annual Gathering of the Governing CDU Party in Germany, where the Majority of People clearly Rejected that, after a Strong Debate, Voting an Opposed Resolution.

 + Nobody among the European People ever saw Von Der Leyen make any Democratic Public Campaigns for General European Issues affecting their Lives. At least, EU Parliament's Leading Candidate, Manfred Weber, did !
And Everything indicates that if some imposed Von Der Leyen at the Head of EU's Executive in Brussels, this would Inevitably Aggravate the Gap Dangerously Separating a Ruling Oligarchy from a Growing Number of EU Citizens.

If Europe was really searching to find some Trustworthy, Experienced and Efficient ChristianDemocrat/EPP Top Politician, with a Real European Legacy and stature, currently Available, it is not at all impossible to make some very Good Findings....

But, Elsewhere !

The Debates on EU Elections 2019 are due to be Extended throughout a quite Longer period than usual, at the Aftermath of the Votes, because of some unexpected, Last-Minute "Surprises", and since there is, now, a big InFight about their Political Exploitation and/or Interpretation, as the Parliament's Groups are anew Shaped and Decisions on the repartition of Top Jobs are still Not Obvious at all...

Now that USA blocks China's Huawei's access to Google's Android and other Comm. Technologies, it's, obviously, an Ideal Moment for Europe to Launch a New, Independent OS for Smartphones, and other relevant High-Tech. softwares !

EU must become Ambitious, and, at last, Autonomous, in order to Stop being Dependent from Others (as, f.ex. South Korea, etc), in such a Strategic area...

In fact, the Real Causes seem to be Other, in both cases :

- In Greece, that Minister probably felt that she risked to lose her Government job in the forthcoming National Elections, where all Polls routinely give the opposition winning the race.. So she prefered to take, at least a MEP's job for the next 5 Years...

- In France, it seems that it's part of a Wider Plan by President Macron to make a partial Resuffle in 3 or 4 cases, in order to appoint some more efficient and/or trusted persons to the right jobs.

EU Parliament and/or CoE's Assembly often serve also as a Keep Safe and/or a Cover up mechanism for various political manouvers.

In France too, former Minister for EU affairs, Loiseau, left her Government job in order to become a Candidate MEP...(It's true that she got, however, the 1st place in her team).

A mainstream Minister, with an important portofolio (Tourism in Greece), resigned in order to become Candidate MEP in the 2019 EU Elections !

=> Is really EU Parliament considered as more important than even Government jobs, by nowadays politicians ?

With about 38,5% of Votes each, a Unity of the Right scores Equal to the Left in Spain at the forthcoming EU Elections, according to Polls published nowadays.

"Socialists" would get some 28%, added to Podemos' 9%, and IU 1,5%. At the Right, E"PP" would get 19%, added to 14% for the "Citizens", and about 5,5% for "Vox".

More than 26% of votes had been given to various Other Parties in the Past, compared to "only" about 21% (-5% Less) Now.

The Rightists of New Party "Vox" had been created by a former Long-time MEP of mainstream Party of Christian-Democrats/EPP, who had been elected 5 Times as EU Parliament's vice-President.
