European CITIZENS and FORUM / On this FORUM / Change(s) ?
on: October 12, 2010, 07:23:35 AM
Are there any plans, currently, at Eurofora, to change all or part of its Forum's structure ?
When will it really start to better reflect its main project's interesting idea ?

EU ELECTIONS / EU Electoral PROCESS / 2009 EU Elections' aftermath : confirmation, or not ?
on: October 12, 2010, 07:21:07 AM
An interesting question to clarify is whether the movement seen emerging at June 2009 EU Elections, mainly in favor of center-right political partis and other various critics of Turkey's controversial EU bid, etc., would have been, meanwhile, amplified, or, on the contrary, diminished, by the elections which followed, since then, in several EU countries :
At first sight, at least in Germany, Bulgaria, in the UK, Netherlands, Belgium, Slovakia, Sweden, Austria, etc., EU citizens apparently amplified even further, during 2009-2010, their June 2009 political mone, (and the list is obviously open)..

European POLICIES and ISSUES / overall Ideas, Europe's Identity + Future / What is this, after Mr Erdogan's claims ?
on: October 12, 2010, 07:18:24 AM
After Turkish PM Erdogan's claims that even immigrants living for more than 2 generations in Germany (+ 50 years) should learn .. Turkish first, before the German language (as second/foreign language), and asking even for a Turkish University to be established in German soil, while also accusing Cultural Assimilation to be a punishable crime (!), one can, indeed, wonder :
- What is, can, and should be the European Identity in order to be able to face such attempts to practically sissolve it ?

European POLICIES and ISSUES / Science - Health - Environment - Nature / Weather Science, the most EU added value ?
on: October 12, 2010, 07:12:36 AM
After this Summer 2010 extreme weather phenomena, the latest Report by EU Parliament's rapporteur on the 2014 - 2020 financial perspectives, reveals, indirectly but surely, that one of the most obviously "European added value" projects could be the much needed development of Weather Science Technologies, which might be able to protect EU citizens and economies from any kind of immediate danger of extreme heat, cold, water or fires, etc., as those that were seen provoking catastrophic consequences without precedent..
(NDLR : more due to come asap).

European POLICIES and ISSUES / Politics / CoE : too much Turkey ?...
on: October 12, 2010, 07:09:21 AM
Both CoE's committee of ministers and its parliamentary assembly, after its congres of local and regional authorities, etc., are due to be chaired by Turkey since November 2010, for the 1st time in the paneuropean (i.e. including also Russia, Azerbaidjan, etc) organization's history !
Not even big EU countries such as Germany, France or the UK and Italy, etc. didn't ever have such an over-concentration of CoE's top posts simultaneously attributed to their nationals only... Isn't it dangerous for CoE's credibility, considering its role as a Human Rights organization ?
Results will speak de facto... But it's always better to prevent a possible catastrophe, instead of running afterwards to limit its eventual, but probable damages...
