31  European view on the WORLD / on International ORGANISATIONS / Turkey isolated at UNO: 12 against 2 on Iran Nuclear Proliferation Risk Sanction on: June 11, 2010, 03:06:23 AM

Turkey was even more isolated than initially expected against a quasi-Unanimous United Nations' Security Council Resolution for Sanctions vis a vis Nuclear Bomb Proliferation Risks by Iran's Uranium enrichment plans.

Nobody else, not even one (1) other member of the International Community didn't follow at all Turkey's and Brazil's (obviously located at the other side of the Planet, and with enough unused Jungle space to eventually host among Aborigen Tribes  ...Refugees in case of Nuclear Clash near Europe and Asia and Africa) Dangerous attempt to Stop UNO's Action against Nuclear Bomb Proliferation Risks at the sensitive Middle-East Region.

Sanctions include several Iranian Banks, Ships' inspection, etc. UNO SC's move comes after a controversial refusal by Iran of a compromise solution earlier proposed by Russia. Turkey was fast to try to exploit that for its own interests, and even staged an unprecedented anti-Israel brutal and deadly provocation obviously attempting to manipulate some Arab states, but largely failed.

Initially expecting to have just the required Majority of 9 Votes at UNO's SC., the Resolution against Nuclear Bomb Proliferation Risks from Iran, rejecting Turkey's manoeuver, finally succeeded to gather much more : 12 votes, totally isolating the Turkish-Brazilian shady deal.

Not even a neighbouring Arab Country as Lebanon (currently UN SC member) didn't fall to the trap to vote for the dangerously opportunist games of Turkey, which was obviously attempting to regain some influence over former Ottoman Turkish Empire's previously Arab Colonies, which can't forget that they freed themselves from Ottoman-Turkish Military Occupation and became independent Countries only after fighting hard Liberation struggles in he middle of the 20th century.

33  European POLICIES and ISSUES / Economy - Social - Technologies / Innovative Nuclear-propulsed Spaceship backed by Russian President Medvedev on: November 04, 2009, 11:32:22 AM

Russian President Medvedev decided to start preparations for the creation of a new Spaceship, propulsed by Nuclear Energy, from Earth to March and other Planets.

Worldwide, research results are still lacking in view of the need to replace USA's Shuttle with something better, and to invent an efficient vehicle for Space Exploration, full of various big stakes.

The new, Nuclear powered SpaceShip should cost only some 400 million €, while the old, Low-tech, and limited capacities' controversial military trasnsport project A400M, already delayed many years, costs much more than .. 22 BILLIONS € !....

French President Sarkozy and German Chancellor Merkel have recently postponed for some months decisions on whether to drop, skip, reduce or replace the A400M "debacle", as a German language Swiss Newspaper has called it, (compared to a much cheaper and more spacious Antonov, or a new Antonov version to be constructed in cooperation with Airbus, and/or to USA's much longer-range big Globe-trotter, etc)

In brief : Europe could become World champion in High Tech with various innovative and ambitious projects, as fex. participating in the conception, planning, production and developpent of new a new, efficient Spaceship, orginal High-Tech Airplanes, etc

It already has much more money than it need, but it must be well invested, and not be wasted in old cuckoos..
34  European POLICIES and ISSUES / Defence - Security - Civic protection / "Arctic Sea" Ship piracy stresses European competition to Turkish+ pipelines on: August 21, 2009, 12:00:24 PM

The unprecedented aggression against a Ship crossing European waters, (never seen since more than 150 Years !), which transported Finnish wood with Russian staff under Malta's flag towards Algeria, came while competition between Russian, Turkish and other means to transport Energy for Europe becomes harsh.

Turkey (and an anti-European lobby hidden behind it) is notoriously limited only into expensive, too long and risky pipeline routes, wasting time and money through uncertain zig-zags : Nowadays, it obviously needs to urgently exploit any way which might block some gas from elsewhere hoping to fill controversial Nabucco pipeline plan's supplies, which are largely empty.

While Russia has various shorter and cheaper ways to reach EU countries, by land and/or sea : But it needs to face artificially provoked obstacles..

In addition, EU can create its own means to reach several Energy producing countries by new, short, cheap and direct ways, (mainly by short pipelines linked to new technologies and Ships) : It needs diplomatic and technologic innovation.

Russia, (with EU + NATO cooperation) succeeded to save the Arctic Sea ship and arrest the aggressors. But not yet those who send them...

What is really at stake is Europe's strength among the galloping World-wide Global competition to control energy.

"Control" means power : In fact its a Security and Defence issue.
35  European view on the WORLD / on Global ISSUES / Re: New Virus : WHO stops reporting after USA reaches 34000, while Russia only 3... on: July 20, 2009, 10:14:15 PM

L' origine de cet étrange "virus" est encore plus "ciblé" que vous ne le dites...

In fact, the USA have unilaterally stoped reporting infection cases and deaths since many days earlier !

In consequence, the strange geopolitical "gap" should be even worse..
36  European view on the WORLD / on Global ISSUES / New Virus : WHO stops reporting after USA reaches 34000, while Russia only 3... on: July 20, 2009, 09:51:46 PM
Curiously, WHO's SG, a former Brittish Hong-Kong expert, accepted to stop the International Organization from reporting the world-wide number of cases of infections and deaths by the strange, "new" flu Virus, after USA reached some 34.000 cases (and 170 deaths : more than anywhere else in the World !), while Russia had only three (3) infection cases...

Followed US -neighbors Mexico and Canada (with 10.262  and 7.983 infections, but also 119  and 25 deaths, respectively), as well as closely US-related countries as the UK, and Australia (with, respectively, 7.447 and 5.928, infections, but also  3 and 10 deaths). Latin-American countries, started also to be affected, with Chile and Argentina having  respectively 7.376 and  2.485 infections, but 14 and 60 deaths).

On the contrary, Russia still had only .. three (3) infection cases, as well as many other European countries as fex. Ukraine, Croatia, Bosnia-Hezegovina and Latvia : only one each (1), FYROM 2, Lithuania 3, Iceland 4, Luxembourg  6, Bulgaria and Montenegro : 10, Hungary 11, Estonia 13, Slovenia 14, Serbia and Czech Republic 15, Slovakia 18, Austria 19, Poland 25, etc.

As well as many African, Asian or ACP countries, such as f.ex. Cote d' Ivoire, Tunisia, Iran, Syria, Libya, Uganda, Dominica and Myanmar  : only 1 infection case each, Cap Verde : 3, Nepal and Oman : 4, Ethiopia 3, Laos 5, Algeria 5 , Cambodia 7, UAE and Yemen : 8,  Iraq 12, Kenya 15, Morocco 17, etc.

(Data on July 6).

On 2008, a "joint venture of Gazprom and ENI (Italy) was registered in Switzerland", and on 15 of May 2009, Gazprom signed corporate accords with Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia and Italy".

"The South Stream gas pipeline will be commissioned by December 31, 2015" : A Time "Deadline ...set in the agreements" signed on May 2009.
38  European POLICIES and ISSUES / Science - Health - Environment - Nature / Re: L' Europe desarmée face au virus americain A H1N1 ? on: May 11, 2009, 01:16:27 PM
Incroyable, mais vrai !?

....
- 2) Le plus grand nombre d' infections n'est pas en Mexique, contrairement à ce qu'on avait prétendu, mais aux Etats Unis (USA).

Better be precise and factual. See the current Numbers at  :

39  European POLICIES and ISSUES / Science - Health - Environment - Nature / more cases in USA than in Mexico, from the deadly "new Virus" A H1N1 ! on: May 11, 2009, 01:10:40 PM

In fact, it's much more than you think :

"2.254 confirmed cases in the USA, recognized from now on as the most affected country, ahead of Mexico with "only" 1.626 confirmed cases", (according to Reuters)...
