2010 Asian Turkey political gathering started with most, but not all, Asian States sending representatives to Turkey for the CICA Consultative Forum, which meets every two or four Years at different countries on a rotating basis. Exceptionally, EurAsian Russia takes part, while USA are Observers, obviously interested in anything might concern Asian Energy Sources, fex. in Azerbaidjan, Kazahkstan, Kirgistan, Iraq, Iran, etc.

Created in 2002 at the initative of Kazakshtan, the Asian Consultative Forum on Confidence Building Measures met also in 2008.. CICA Members include Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, China, Egypt, India, Iran, Israel, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Palestinian Authority, Republic of Korea, Russia, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates,Vietnam, Uzbekistan and Iraq.

But many other Asian States have not accepted yet to become members, and it was still unclear who might be present (and at what level), or absent.
