Serbia: Center-Right, supported by Rightists, wins 2012 Election: Yes to the EU, but No to Corruption

The 2012 Presidential Election in Serbia, a Country with a fresh, official "Candidate" Status for EU Accession, and the only "Missing Link" for EU's Rhine-Danube rivers corridor from the Black to the Northern Sea, through Franco-German a.o. Countries' Central Europe, as well as an Historically Strategic corridor from Central Europe right towards the Middle East through Hungary and Greece, etc., was unexpectedly won by the Head of the Center- Right, Nicolic, who was allied also to a Rightist party.

The Winner reportedly stressed that Serbia's European, pro-EU orientation will be kept, but that an Anti-Corruption campaign must start now, as one of the means to restore the country's Economy.
