Title: GALILEO undermined by Commission's "lack of leadership", says EU Court Post by: Geopol on July 01, 2009, 12:06:20 PM Some bureaucrats inside Brussels EU Commission bear heavy responsibilities for failing to develop the most Strategic and ambitious European project : GALILEO, a competitor of the American GPS, satellite navigation system, denounced the EU Court of Auditors. Brussels' Commission is accused for "lack of leadership", on this landmark project, and for imposing counter-productive choices, which aggravated some Member States' national egoism, instead of resolutely developing the European General Interest, said Luxembourg's Court, in its conclusions on the causes which provoked delays and damages to the detriment of GALILEO, headquartered at Darmstadt, close to Strasbourg.
