Today's Historic Victory of Hungary's center-right party Fidesz (ChristianDemocrats/EPP)", led by Victor Orban, with some 286 MPs in comparison to only 59 for Socialists and 47 for Rightist Jobbik, 16 for the "Greens", etc. might add a strong impulsion for the forthcoming EU-wide Debate on Europe's Future, (after the imminent publication of EU wisemen's Draft Report on May 2010).

Indeed, when Hungary had chaired the CoE, back in 1999, also with Victor Orban, Budapest's visitors were surprised to find at the Hungarian Capital plenty of concrete references to Historic struggles to save at least part of the City from the Ottoman Military Occupation and declin. Issues as such of Europe's Identity were at the top in Hungary then...
