Nobody explained, clearly in public, why Greek PM Costas Caramanlis chose so early elections, instead of waiting until the normal date, later next year in 2010.

Does he believe that PASOK's "sociaists" will soon break their neck in front of the Global Crisis, Obama's blunders and/or Turkey's abuses ? Or does he count upon sudden revelation of big scandals on PASOK's inglorious Past to pop up, while also using a favorable wave from Merkel's probable win in he forthcomùing German Elections ?
