In the standard distibution of Elxis three new modules were added. The Frontpage module is ideal for the home page of your website. Top Weblink allows you to show the top or most recent link for every links category. Random Users allows you to show random or most recent users. The natural position of the last two modules is internal in their components (Weblinks and User respectively), which gives additional functionality to these components.

The procedure of submitting content from the front-end, has been radically changed in the 2008 version. Admninistrator has the ability to specify in which sections and categories the submission of content will be allowed from the front-end. Users, while submitting content, may choose a section and category from those allowed, as suggested. They can also add some comments to accompany their article. After submission, the article remains in a waiting for approval status until it is checked and published by the administrator. The user can change or edit the article, while it awaits approval. Users can also view their 5 most recent published articles, as well as a list of their to-be-published ones. Editing published articles and direct publication of articles is prohibited from the front-end of Elxis.

2008 version supports the creation and download of articles in RTF format (PDF format is already supported by previous versions). The automatic thumbnail generation is also supported. Finally, a new type of menu items, called System Links, generate multilingual pathways and solve past problems that occured in system pages display, like the password reminder page, the registration page, e.t.c.

Sarkozy stimulated by Irish "No" challenge : - "It's a call to change and build Europe otherwise. Not later, but now. It won't be easy, but it's fascinating !"

* Paris, Elysee, June 14, 2008.

Forthcoming EU Chairman, French President Nikolas Sarkozy, created a surprise by declaring that the challenge of the Irish "No" to the EU Treaty, stimulates his belief that we must immediately change the way Europe is built.

A difficult but fascinating task, that he intends to accomplish in the next 6 Months, during which he will analyse developments 3 times to EU Parliament in Strasbourg, on July, October and December 2008.

But Agenda obliged to give a first reply to Questions raised by the Irish Referendum, on the sidelines of a Press Conference with USA President GWBush, in Paris' Elysee palace, Saturday :

Sarkozy's reply was twofold :

First, the Franco-German position is that EU must make sure "that the Irish Incident does not become a Crisis". Ratification must continue, after 18 EU Member States, also to the rest, as UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown promised.

But, pointing at deeper causes, Sarkozy also criticized bureaucratic "sabotage" of Europe's "founding fathers" original dream. The move reminded his Historic February and July 2007 speaches in Strasbourg on Europe's future, joining criticism to a call for EU's Renaissance, which now became urgent :
